Monstrous Summer Preview: Princess Fairytale Hall
Posted onno photos were permitted behind the wall, but we do have some new artists' renderings of what Princess Fairytale Hall will look like. I was also able to get a few more details about the meet-and-greet location, which will be approximately on the site of the former Snow White's Scary Adventures, from Imagineers Pam Rawlins, assistant producer, and creative designer Jason Grandt.
Animal Kingdom’s New Wilderness Explorers
Posted onOne of the projects featured at last week's "Monstrous Summer" media event at Walt Disney World was the soon-to-debut "Wilderness Explorers" at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The new program is an interactive experience that invites guests to explore Animal Kingdom in "engaging and challenging ways" aimed at deepening understanding of animals and the natural world we live in. The "Wilderness Explorer" theme is taken from the Disney-Pixar film, "UP!" -- one of the main characters, Russell, is a Wilderness Explorer himself.

Play Testing A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas at Walt Disney World
Posted onContributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com had a great opportunity my last morning at Walt Disney World. The Imagineers were conducting a public "play test" of A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas. This is a new interactive experience that will be opening in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom in the near future. The testing started earlier in the morning and I managed to make it there about 11:45am and was one of the last groups through, they shut down around noon. The adventure begins at the Enlistment Quarters, the old Crows Nest.
Boardwalk Bakery Reopens
Posted onThe BoardWalk Bakery reopened today Friday, April 26, after a renovation of several months. The bakery sports an all-new look, with a new entrance, queue, signage and more. The bakery also now features an expanded menu with a soup or salad and sandwich combo, pastries and specialty beverages. The newly refurbished bakery also has a refillable mug station for those staying at the BoardWalk Inn and Villas.
“Star Wars” Day Brings The Galaxy to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Posted onDisney's Hollywood Studios creates Limited Time Magic for the annual, fan-proclaimed "Star Wars Day," May 4 -- a date that Star Wars fans worldwide turn into a celebratory pun, "May the Fourth Be With You!"
This one-day-only celebration features special Star Wars entertainment, shows, characters, exclusive merchandise, a Star Wars dance party and a Star Wars-themed fireworks show to cap off the day. Also included: a special edition of Jedi Training Academy, where parents join their children for the training and finale with villains from the Galactic Empire.
Festival of Fantasy Parade Coming to Magic Kingdom in 2014
Posted onWalt Disney World President George Kalogridis announced Friday, April 26, that a new daytime parade, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, will debut in the Magic Kingdom in spring 2014. (This will replace the current Celebrate the Magic daytime parade.)
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will bring the magical stories of New Fantasyland to Main Street, U.S.A., through fantastic and innovative new parade floats, vibrant costumes, and an original soundtrack that will feature beloved songs from favorite Disney films, plus a new parade theme song.
