Fun and adventure await in this entirely new land found in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Here guests explore an awesome alien landscape, encounter a larger-than-life Na'vi shaman and soar over Pandora on the back of a fearsome mountain banshee.

An immersive new adventure, Avatar Flight of Passage, is set to open May 27 at Disney's Animal Kingdom. A shining star of the all-new land, Pandora - The World of Avatar, this 3-D expedition transports travelers on a sweeping, simulated flight over Pandora's colorful landscape. Guests soar around floating mountains, plunge through ancient caverns and skim across roaring oceans, culminating in a realistic encounter with the fiercest king of the air, the Great Leonopteryx, which boasts a 45-foot wingspan.

Wonderment and Unforgettable Encounters Await at the New Na’vi River Journey in Pandora – The World of Avatar

When Pandora - The World of Avatar opens on May 27, 2017, the new Na'vi River Journey will also open. A family-friendly expedition, the Na'vi River Journey takes guests on an adventure down a gentle, mysterious river hidden within the sacred bioluminescent rainforest in search of the Na'vi Shaman of Songs. The 4-1/2-minute ride will be available as a FastPass+ experience.

D23 Magazine Summer 2017 Issue

The Summer 2017 issue of Disney Twenty-Three, D23's magazine, will explore Pandora - The World of Avatar. The creative minds behind Disney's newest land will give an exclusive look at this addition to Disney's Animal Kingdom. The issue will also include exclusive interviews with the new crew of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, as well as Thor: Ragnarok's Chris Hemsworth, and the driving forces behind Cars 3.

D23 Announces Epcot 35 Events in Florida

D23 has announced two new events celebrating Epcot's 35th Anniversary: a Fanniversary event and a Progressive Dinner, both taking place on October 1. Tickets for the Fanniversary are $135 per person, plus a $5 per person processing fee. Tickets go on sale May 2 at 1 p.m. Eastern. The Progressive Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and lasts approximately 4.5 hours. Tickets are $250 per person, plus a $5 per person processing fee. Tickets go on sale May 3 at 10 a.m. Eastern.
