New Phineas and Ferb interactive experience opens at Downtown Disney

Phineas and Ferb, characters from the Disney Channel hit show, are turning up in yet another spot at Walt Disney World. Now, guests don't even have to go into the theme parks to meet up with the animated versions of the duo and their counterparts Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Agent P. Phineas and Ferb and YOU: A Brand New Reality is a virtual experience set up adjacent to Bongos Cuban Cafe on the West Side of Downtown Disney. Guests queue up in a themed area, and when their turns arrive, they step into a fenced area to interact with the characters on a large screen before having their photos taken.

Exclusive sneak peek: Disney Cruise Line holiday merchandise

Disney Cruise Line has announced that for the first time, it will offer a collection of DCL holiday-themed merchandise. These items will be available only onboard its four ships -- Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy -- in gift shops. (Remember, too, that shops are only open when the ship is at sea.) Although some ship merchandise can be found online at DIsneyStore.com, that will not be the case with these 22 items.

Disney Cruise Line Monitoring Weather Conditions in Bahamas and Caribbean

Statement from Disney Cruise Line: The safety of our Guests and Crew is always our first priority at Disney Cruise Line. We are closely monitoring the current weather conditions and path of Tropical Storm Isaac in the Caribbean and Tropical Storm Joyce in the Atlantic through the National Weather Service. At this time, we have not made any changes to the following itineraries: Disney Dream August 24th, 5-night sailing to the Bahamas Disney Fantasy August 25th, 7-night sailing to the Eastern Caribbean Disney Magic August 25th, 8-night sailing to the Bahamas Disney Dream August 29th, 4-night sailing to the Bahamas Should weather conditions change, our Captains can alter the ship's course or itinerary for the safety and well-being of our Guests.

Disney's "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" is a sweet but predictable movie that is sure to tug at any parent's heartstrings. The movie follows the tried-and-true story arc of most Disney movies that even my almost-10-year-old son recognized, and the themes are not complicated. Still, the feel-good ending has the potential to leave most in the audience satisfied with the film's story.

runDisney revealed the much anticipated commemorative 20th anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon medal giving runners extra incentive to finish the 26.2 mile course. The medals unique design features a classic circular shape and two spinning elements, including a medallion with classic and modern images of Mickey Mouse, and two inspirational quotes from Walt Disney himself.

Phineas and Ferb & YOU: A Brand New Reality’ Opens at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort September 1

Phineas & Ferb will invade another area of Walt Disney World Resort: Beginning September 1, guests of all ages can participate in a complimentary augmented reality offering at Downtown Disney called Phineas and Ferb & YOU: A Brand New Reality. The experience, which will take place next to Bongos Cuban Cafe, will allow guests to step onto a platform and virtually interact with Phineas, Ferb, Dr. Doof and Agent P (in their animated forms) on a screen above. Fans can expect to experience any one of 20 different interactions, from dancing The Platypus Walk to getting caught in Dr. Doofs Freeze-inator.
