What Disney World merchandise do you collect?

At my house, though, the Disney reminders are subtle yet sprinkled here and there like pixie dust through the rooms. Nonetheless, these items achieve the same effect that I imagine a Disney room would for others -- they make me smile and remember with fondness the occasion during which I purchased or received them.

Palm Golf Course Reopens

Posted on
The Palm course reopened for play on December 15, 2013, after an extensive renovation by the Arnold Palmer Design Company. We recently played the course. Our 7:15 a.m. tee time was on a chilly morning in January. The fog was slowly lifting and the dew on the course made it seem like we were playing on a light covering of snow.

Mid-Month Mousy Mindboggler: January 2014

Posted on
If you subscribe to the AllEars Weekly Newsletter, you'll know that we run a little game called the Mousy Mindboggler. Sometimes it's a word game, sometimes it's a riddle, sometimes it's some other brain-teasing challenge -- but it's always fun! Once each month, in the AllEars Bits and Bites issue, our friend James Dezern (known as "dzneynut" around several Disney discussion forums) supplies us with a puzzle of his own design. The puzzles have some sort of Disney theme, of course, but will not be restricted to the Disney theme parks. The type of puzzle is up to James. Also up to him? The bestowing of a prize -- a collectible Disney pin from his extensive collection.

For quite a while now, "Saving Mr. Banks" has generated both positive reviews and even Oscar buzz during the film's pre-release period. Now that the film has been released, general audiences can see what all the talk is about. "Saving Mr. Banks," the heart-warming and often humorous story of how Walt Disney brought the novel "Mary Poppins" to life on the big screen, is now in movie theaters across the United States. There is so much to love about this film, but parents should give consideration to the PG-13 warning if they are planning to bring young children to see it.
