If you’ve ever wanted to skip the standby lines at Universal Orlando, you probably know about Express Pass. You can purchase an Express Pass for an individual park and then skip the lines of all the rides listed for that park.

Well, something new has arrived at Universal Orlando. Two rides that are included with Express Pass are also part of a new individual attraction Express Pass, where you can just pay $25 each to skip the line for those specific rides (much like how Disney World’s Lightning Lane Single Pass works).
Universal is testing this new system on two rides. One of those rides is Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida. You can pay $24.99 via the Universal Orlando app and then access the Express Pass line for the ride (aka the shorter line).

The other ride is Skull Island: Reign of Kong in Universal Islands of Adventure. Like Revenge of the Mummy, you can pay $24.99 through the app to skip the standby line for that ride.

You can also scan a QR code at each ride (you’ll see a sign for Universal Express Single Attraction Access at the rides). That will take you to the app where you can pay. However, we noticed that this is only listed as a “Special Offer” and it says it’s a limited-time offering. That means that you may not be able to do this the next time you visit Universal, but you’ll want to double-check to see if it’s available.

This could be a nice way to only pay for those rides you want to ride, rather than paying for a whole Express Pass, which has a starting price of $130 for the theme parks.
We’ll keep an eye out to see if this becomes the norm in Universal Orlando, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
