Getting ready for your trip to Disney World?

There are so many things to get together when you’re packing for your trip. Will you bring multiple pairs of shoes? Will you really need those sweaters? So, if the stress is eating you up, don’t worry. We’re here to help! Let’s go over the unspoken rules you should be following when packing for Disney World!
Pack a Day’s Worth in Your Carry-On
First up, you’re going to want to pack everything you need, all of those essentials including a pair of spare clothes, in your carry-on.

No matter what the airline says, the last thing you want to experience is a delay in getting your checked bag or finding out that it went to a completely different location and you’re without your essentials.
Ziploc Bags for Leak-Prone Items
Alright, the next unspoken rule is to use Ziploc bags for all of your items that can leak.

Place those liquids, ANY LEAK PRONE products (bottle of hairspray, perfume, sunscreen, etc.) in a bag so that if it leaks, or explodes, it won’t ruin all of your stuff.
Protect Fragile Items with Socks
For the next unspoken packing rule, if you’re going to pack those fragile/breakable items, keep them safe by cocooning them in soft socks.

It’s a simple trick that’s like a little extra insurance that says, “You’re not breaking on my watch.”
Opt for Travel-Sized Essentials
Okay, so with this next one, we know you have that bottle of your favorite body wash, but go ahead and leave that home and opt for something travel-sized.

The Dollar Store, Target, these kinds of places are going to be your best friends for pint-sized treasures. Shop for travel-sized body wash, toothpaste, etc. This way, your bag stays light, and you’ll be ready for anything.
Be Prepared for Any Weather
For this one, just do yourself a favor and treat the weather forecasts like suggestions, not guarantees because when it comes to Florida, there’s always a chance for rain.

Always pack a rain jacket, poncho, umbrella, or all of the above. You’ll be thanking yourself when those unexpected downpours show up to join your Disney World party.
Bring a Trash Bag for Dirty Clothes
Time for the last unspoken rule for today. Here it is: Remember to pack a trash bag!

Chances are that while you’re at Disney World, you’re not going to have the time to do your laundry. Here’s where the trash bag comes in. Toss in your dirty clothes, tie it up, and boom. This will keep those dirty items separate from clean ones and ready for washing when you return home.

We’ll continue to share more tips and tricks for your next Disney World trip in 2024 and beyond. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
