New CLOSURE Will Hit EPCOT in 4 Days

If you’re planning on visiting EPCOT this summer, be prepared for this new closure coming to the park!

It seems like things are closing left and right at the park — whether it’s refurbishment or permanent closure to make way for something new. We have the details here!

On May 12th, CommuniCore Hall will be temporarily closing. This isn’t for any technical issue or any refurbishment — the area will be transformed into an all-new GoofyCore Play Experience at EPCOT!

This will be a limited-time character-focused play experience event, led by Goofy himself. Disney described GoofyCore as “an immersive environment where kids and families can dance, play, and interact with Goofy through a lineup of games and DJ-led dance parties”.

This party will have a couple of games and activities as well — including “Loopy Limbo” and “Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks”.

The temporary closure will only be applicable to CommuniCore Hall on the inside, as that’s where all the activities will take place. The outdoor space, CommuniCore Plaza, will stay open during the Goofy event.

Attached to CommuniCore Hall is a character meet and greet called Mickey & Friends. This will also remain open for guests, and character appearances will continue as normal.

Farmer’s Feast, one of the food booths at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival that’s located in CommuniCore Hall, will move its food options to Florida Fresh.

GoofyCore will run from May 12th through to September 1st, 2025. The event is a part of the broader “Cool Kid Summer” offerings that are happening across Disney World.
