It’s no secret that the Trump administration’s tariffs are going to have a huge economic impact on your next Disney trip.

The tariffs will result in the cost of just about all goods and services increasing, which means we could see some significant price increases at Disney World for those goods and services. But when do we expect prices to rise? Well, there’s no guaranteed date of when that might happen, but we have a good idea.
According to ABC News, fresh food, such as avocados, which are imported from Mexico, will probably be the first to see price increases as a result of the tariffs. Other imported food items could also be affected, including tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, jalapeños, limes, and mangos. These are food items that can’t be stored for long periods of time. Now, we know that Disney World grows some of its own food at EPCOT, but we may see some restaurant menu prices begin to go up within days.

In about a month, other food items could potentially go up. This includes processed foods and packaged foods, all items that can be stored for a little while. But eventually, those stockpiles will run out and that could result even more food price increases in Disney World.

According to CNN, China and Vietnam are the top two sources of toys made in other countries. However, toys and souvenirs can be stockpiled (and Disney probably has warehouses full of both), but eventually, those stockpiles will run out and you can expect future toys and souvenirs to be hit with price increases due to tariffs. This is expected to happen in the late summer.

Around that same time, you can probably expect clothing prices to go up, as most clothing imports come from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Cambodia, all countries being hit with tariffs. So we’ll see the price of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and other clothing items going up at Disney World around late summer, too.

Beer, wine, and tequila will probably start costing more within a few months. So much of what goes into drinks in Disney World restaurants come from countries that have been hit with tariffs. However, one other item you might NOT be thinking about will also increase in price: Canadian maple syrup. Does that mean our beloved Maple Popcorn at the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT will soon cost more? Possibly…

Finally, we have to think about what’s happening to Disney World visitors at home. The price of many goods are going to increase, which means that American households will be struggling to keep up with the rising costs. This could mean fewer vacations to Disney World for many folks. If this translates to fewer people in the parks, you might see more discounts being announced for Disney trips.
We’ll have to see how everything plays out, but if these tariffs continue, it’s likely they could mean that next Disney World trip is going to be more expensive. It’s a good bet that Disney will discuss how the tariffs will affect its business, particular the parks, during the next earnings call on May 7th. In the meantime, Disney CEO Bob Iger has already made a few comments during a meeting with the ABC Newsroom.

Prices will rise the same time as they would have without tariffs: every day.
Regardless, Disney raises prices every year, more often sometimes, so nothing new here.
