After months of asking “What is going on in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion?”, Disney has filed a new permit for the area.

The permit was filed by Walt Disney Imagineering with Design Communications Ltd. (who has worked with Disney many times before) as the contractor.
The permit notes that it is for installing signage and although we do not think it will take that long, it is valid for one year from now. Signage could indicate something new is coming to that area, but we’ll have to wait and see!

If you’ve been to EPCOT recently then you’ll know that there have been construction walls in the pavilion for quite some time. No official announcements about a specific project have been made — we’ll just have to be patient before we learn what the mysterious construction is all about!

Other than being an eyesore, these won’t impact your EPCOT visit. You can still shop at the Trading Post store and Le Cellier, the pavilion’s restaurant, is still open for business.
Hopefully, this mystery will be solved sooner rather than later but in the meantime, we will continue our detective work. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates from Disney World!
