Flying to Orlando just got a little bit easier!
We love to keep you posted on all the latest travel news, tips, and discounts, especially when it comes to flying to Disney World and Orlando. In fact, if you’re planning on flying to Florida later this year, you won’t want to miss this news about new nonstop flights coming to the area!
According to the Orlando Business Journal, Allegiant Travel Co. is bringing eight (8) new nonstop routes to 13 cities across the country beginning this November.
According to the report, several routes are coming to multiple Florida cities.
Routes include:
- Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Palm Beach International Airport in Florida
- Punta Gorda Airport in Punta Gorda/Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale/Miami, and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in St. Pete/Tampa, Florida to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia
- Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio to Melbourne Orlando International Airport, Florida.
- Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
- Flint Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport in Florida
- Portsmouth International Airport at Pease in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in Florida.
In alignment with the new routes, Allegiant offered one-way fares starting at $39.
Allegiant’s chief revenue officer, Drew Wells, said in a statement, “Our network planning team is responsive to consumer demand, constantly looking for opportunities to enhance the leisure travel experience. The new service kicks off just in time to plan warm winter getaways to sought-after coastal destinations.”
Melbourne Orlando International Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan added that the airport is “thrilled” specifically about the added “twice weekly service to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.”
While Melbourne Orlando International Airport isn’t as close to Disney World and Universal as Orlando Sanford International Airport or Orlando International Airport, it’s still a manageable drive and definitely worth it with the right airfare!
