I had so looked forward to my first MVMCP but it was such a huge disappointment. I have been to 2 previous Mickey's Very Scary Halloween Parties and they were awesome so I just knew the Christmas party would be even better, err, WRONG! My family attended the 12/12 party; first off it rained the whole evening, now I know that is not Disney's fault but the problem was the cast members weren't checking bands to see if you should be there, not once did they check when we waited in line for rides, cookies, food, nothing. I am assuming it was because the weather was so miserable but the lines were crazy! The line for the 2nd parade was 7-10 people deep in some spots. Because of the weather we didn't arrive to the park till around 5:30pm and the lines to get your band were crazy long, people cutting you off or squeezing thru. I felt the cast members were overwhelmed. It has been a few years since I had been to Disney but my impression of them now are they are in it for the $ only and not the guest experience.

Pros:

Christmas decorations

Cons:

Crowds, over-selling the parties, food quality, cost

The 2019 event was the last one I will bother attending. I have been to several of these events in previous years, but the one on 5 December was dreadful - so crowded that instead of staying to the end of the event as in previous years, we gave up after the fireworks and left. These parties are hugely oversold now, the crowds are worse than that experienced during the daytime! Wait times for everything were too long for us, and you could barely get anywhere near the hub in order to view the fireworks or the Castle stage show. The cookies were nice, but it is a lot of money to pay for a small handful of cookies and a couple of cups of cocoa. We watched the second showing of the parade, and tried to use the time to go on rides during the first showing, but then we struggled to get around the park due to the vast numbers of folk watching the parade and blocking the walkways! A struggle all night, and we just didn't enjoy it this year, I'm sorry to say.

Pros:

None - nothing this year was worth the cost.

Cons:

Event over-sold, huge crowds, exhausting trying to negotiate the massive numbers of people to ride anything. Too expensive and definitely not good value now.

My family has done MVMCP for many years and have loved it!! The party I attended 12/13/19 will probably be the last for a while. Crowd levels were ridiculous and there was a lack of cast members helping as in previous years. The entrance to get in was chaos and people kept cutting the lines. There was no welcome cookie (I was there before 8) or cast members directing traffic coming in it was a free for all. The fireworks started a bit early which was disappointing because I had it timed after a ride and they were already going off before 10. The treats were ok but nothing special. I didn't even care to stop at all of them. I will say the parade was great as usual and the \"snow\" on main street was nice. Overall not a great value at all for $115 a person. The cost was reasonable in past years but since then it has gone from under $70 to up to $130 in just a few years. I think that's crazy. I've done way more at previous parties paying less money and could've just gone during regular hours and done so much more. I am starting to see the greed everyone is talking about over the experience with Disney..very sad. I expected a better experience.

Pros:

Wonderful parade, good fireworks, snow on main street is pretty

Cons:

Crowd control, ticket prices, disorganization

Had never been to MK Seasonal party so I was excited to try. Really disappointing experience. Went to 11/21/19 Party with extended family as part of long visit.

SUPER crowded. Like lines for Country Bears crowded. And of course, no fast-passes, so select the two rides you may be do to carefully.
You get free cookies, but they aren't very good. Like if a coworker brought them to work, you would take a bite, politely smile and then throw it out when they left good.

Did enjoy the Space Mountain overlay and the Speedway decorations, but can't justify cost for that.

Pros:

Ride overlays

Cons:

Everything else. NOT worth the price. Way too overcrowded.

Attended on Friday, November 22, 2019. Previously attended in 2016. Easy entry at 6pm. Cast members very diligent checking wristbands for rides. Tweens had fun at dance parties at club Tinsel and under circus top. Took pics with characters at dance parties. Lines too long for Character Meet and Greets. Would help if there were more of them spread out in park. Saw performers on Tomorrowland stage and then did People Mover to see all of the decorations/lights when it was dark. Kids had fun following the snack trail. I appreciated snacks were individually wrapped since we have food allergies in our family, no worries of cross contamination when handed treats by cast members. Beverage cups were tiny; so, kids went back twice for hot chocolate. Great parade and fireworks. We did the second parade. Went on lots of rides easily while other folks were at first parade. Very festive for all ages.

Pros:

short wait times, ample free snacks, great parade, lots to do

Cons:

long wait times for character meet and greets

Our night was sold out and about as crowded as a summer day. Lines were long for food/drinks. Couldn’t literally move in front of castle for Frozen show. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder.

Pros:

Characters dressed in gorgeous Christmas outfits

Cons:

Way too crowded

Loved every minute of it! Was debating on going and it definitely was worth it. I highly recommend to anyone. Although a lot of people say it's crowded, I highly disagree. Looking at wait times for rides the night of the party versus a normal night there is no comparison. We got right on every ride we wanted to, saw the parade from a perfect spot, and got to watch the fireworks from a great place in front of the castle. Of course at the main event times, people are gathered in to one spot so it looks crowded, but overall it's not! It's a blast to walk around and get the cookies and drinks also. We did not have any children with us so I can imagine that having kids in the park all day and then doing the party could be tiring!

Pros:

-ride lines were short -most magical fireworks ever -fantastic parade -low crowds -fun cookies and drinks to collect -everyone is in fun pajamas and holiday clothes

Cons:

IMO nothing! Maybe the cost?

We attended MVMCP on Nov 21,2019. Fantastic. We arrived at 4 o'clock and were escorted in immediately through the backstage entrance, got our first treat and headed straight for the rides. We walked on to almost everything accept 7Dwarfs and Space Mtn witch were 20min. Treat lines moved fast and the Christmas spirit is all around. Can't be beat. If you love Christmas, come the week before Thanksgiving. All decorations are up and Disney Springs is in full Christmas mode.

Pros:

Manageable crowds, great atmossphere

Cons:

Can't think of any

We went on 12/1/19 and paid $115 plus tax per person. Really crowded, we didn't feel it was worth it. Just to get in took almost an hour with security checks and admission lines and bracelets. Long lines for rides, characters and snacks. We were only able to do a couple of things. Snacks were very mediocre, like those cheap, stale cookies you buy at Wal-Mart. We couldn't even see the parade cause it was so crowded at 8:15, we only saw the tops of the floats. So we showed up an hour early for the second showing and were only able to get standing-up spots in the second row on Main Street. So we spent the whole second half of the party standing on Main Street and holding our spots for the parade and waiting for it. Our kids fell asleep right on the pavement while waiting. Earlier, we were able to eat in Tomorrowland and our little girl danced with reindeer, that was fun. Then we went to take pix with Jasmine and Genie, waited about 30 min or so, then got a couple of snacks, but missed all the shows/fireworks during that time. For the number of things we got done and the parade, it was definitely not worth what we paid. The parade was spectacular, but we thought it should have been included with regular day's admission, instead of gouging people and charging over $100 a person to see it during this "very merry party" which turned out not so merry for us. Disney either needs to give people more time for this "party" or sell fewer tickets, which they are not going to do cause of greed. So we will never be doing this again.

Pros:

Parade was wonderful, pretty snow on Main St, party-exclusive character meet-and-greet are great too.

Cons:

Extremely crowded, can only do a couple of things, snacks don't taste that good, not worth the ticket cost.

We attended Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party on November 18,2019. (I have been to this party three other times in the last 10 years and have loved it each time.) We got into the park easily at 4pm. They moved the party crowd in very quickly and efficiently while allowing the regular park guests to exit .The lines are very long for the cookies and hot chocolate but move incredible fast. Not all the attractions or rides are open but most of the popular ones are. We were able to ride our favorites throughout the evening without a long wait time. I was glad to see the cast members checking for party wristbands as it is expensive to attend and many regular park guests were trying to stay in the park for the party. There is truly a different feel at the party versus regular park hours . The cast members are dressed festively and Main Street comes alive with the lights and snow. I highly recommend attending the second run of the parade as it is much less crowded .
If you can't decide if you should attend the party vs a regular park day consider this..... if you don't really care about the snow ,cookies, special parade or some of the special dance shows for the teens and kids then you will likely be happy with just attending the park during regular days and hours. If you only have one day for the Magic Kingdom then you will have more available to you during the regular hours but you will miss the party feel. It is truly a Christmas party as only Disney can do.

Pros:

Great Christmas Party feeling . Special parade. You can enter at 4 and it closes at 12 leaving you plenty of time in the park.

Cons:

Everyone had the same idea on how to spend the time before the party began at 4... and that was to go to the Grand Floridian and look at the beautiful gingerbread house and decorations. The lobby of the hotel had many people just hanging around until closer to 4 and the lines for the monorail were the longest I've seen. They moved quickly but the lines were still long.
