We Went INSIDE Shrek’s Swap at the New Universal Kids Resort!

We’re finally getting a chance to explore Universal’s newest theme park over in Texas, Universal Kids Resort!

There are SO many new lands to experience here, and we’ve been having a blast exploring them all day. Now, though, it’s time to step into one of the lands we’ve been looking forward to the most — Shrek’s Swamp! Yes, he has an entire area dedicated to him, and we’re about to show it ALL to you!

Shrek’s Swamp is described as “a waterlogged paradise featuring tons of fun for little ogres and dragons,” so while it’s geared towards kids, anyone is welcome to check it out. Kids are the stars of the show here because Shrek’s triplets are on so many murals across the land!

The main attraction here in this land is none other than Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After. This is where you’ll ride along with Shrek’s triplets as you live the story of how Shrek and Princess Fiona fell in love. You’ll follow along through the heroic rescue from the dragon’s castle, as well as other magical movie moments that led to Shrek and Fiona’s happily ever after.

You’ll also be able to meet Shrek and Fiona in their swamp meet and greet.

Kids can also play around in not one, but TWO splash pad areas! The first is Shrek’s Swamp Rompin’ Stomp, an outdoor playground themed after Shrek’s house.

The other is Shrek’s Swamp Splash & Smash. It’s a great way for kids to get their energy out while also cooling off in the water.

Want something to eat on your big day of exploring? You can head over to Swamp Snacks, which serves up ogre-sized treats like a Shrek-shaped pretzel.

We can’t forget about shopping! If you find yourself wanting some souvenirs from the land, you’ll want to stop by Triplets Treasures. Here, you’ll find Shrek-inspired hoodies and t-shirts for all ages, shoulder pals of Donkey and Shrek, and the best part – ogre ears available as a hat, headband, or bucket hat. These ogre ear headbands are our new favorite thing!
