Contributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com sends us these photos from his trip to the parks on Friday, March 9, 2018.
Let us start off with a quick video overview of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
A look at the site starting on the left.

Panning right. Wire mesh has been installed on more of the support steel since my last visit.

Toward Critter Country more dirt being moved around on the far berm.

More steel for the structure in front of the Battle Escape show building is taking shape.

A large portion of the former Pinocchio Parking lot is now gone and grading work is underway for the new parking structure. The former tram staging area is starting to be deconstructed.

A new temporary walkway is set up on the old tram route along the hedgeline. There is a new walkway to the corner of Magic Way and Disneyland Drive.

Dirt is being moved around the former Pinocchio Parking lot.

Interesting the toll booth and arms are still there. The driveway, most of the plants, etc.. are all gone though.

A wide view of the site. In the foreground appears to be the remaining pieces of the security and tram stop structures.

Here is a video look around the construction site for the new parking structure adjacent to the Mickey and Friends structure at Disneyland.
The security check points and tram load areas are now inside on a portion of the Chip & Dale level (drop off is outside at the stops nearest the escalators).

Paradise Park this afternoon. A stage with a cover is set up for the festival.

More scaffolding up since my last visit for the Pixar Pier work. A new structure is rising on the right side.

Crews working on enclosing the launch hill.

The new colors for the Fun Wheel are starting to be visible.

The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail has reopened.

2018 Grad merchandise is available.

The facades of the Midway Stores are now gone.

Frozone was roaming Paradise Pier.
The launch track and system are being re-installed for the coaster.

The Toy Story buildings are turning blue.

The water wheel has been removed from the Cozy Cone.

Elias & Co has a line of Disney Afternoon clothing available.

Over at Disneyland a streetcar is in Town Square as a photo op as the work on the new track wraps up.

A small section of the straight part has opened but most is still behind walls (most of these were removed by Wed 3/13).

An armed forces medley and Star Spangled Banner performed by the Disneyland Band at the nightly Flag Retreat.

At Center Street the new track and brick is visible now.

A portion near Coke Corner is complete too.

Splash Mountain renovation work continues.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction from the Mark Twain.

In Fantasyland Casey Jr has reopened since my last trip, Dumbo is still behind walls and on the right a portion work on the planters by Pinocchio.

The walls stop short of Pinocchio’s entrance.

Some parade route work going on in the Small World Mall. The new concrete is no where near the color of the original.

Pirates of the Caribbean will be closing for renovation in late April, as part of the project the Auction Scene will be replaced.
Hope you enjoyed this highlight tour of the Disneyland Resort. For additional photos and details from this trip you can check out the full Disneyland Update I posted on my site, https://disneygeek.com Also be sure to follow me on twitter @disneygeekcom for pictures from the parks.
