“Nobody Uses the Charging Locker.” — Disney World Annual Passholders Have THOUGHTS About the New Perk in EPCOT

If there’s one universal truth about Disney World Annual Passholders, it’s that we’ve always got something to say — especially when it comes to new perks.

Passholder Lounge in EPCOT

So when Disney introduced a new Passholder-exclusive lounge in EPCOT, you know we had to ask what you all thought. And wow, you did not hold back.

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “Passholders! What are your thoughts on the new EPCOT lounge?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

“Nobody uses the charging locker.”

Okay, let’s start here with Gary, who shared, “For the VIP lounge I wish they had added cell phone charging at the various seating spots. Nobody uses the charging locker.”

Charge up!

He’s not wrong. Charging lockers are the forgotten corners of the park that feel like relics of a time before portable power banks were in every bag. If you’re going to be sitting and recharging (yourself and your phone), outlets by the chairs just make sense. It’s 2025, Disney. Let us charge where we sit.

“Wish they offered better beverages other than water and room temperature tea.”

Next up, Jayne gave us the honest, no-frills feedback: “Wish they offered better beverages other than water and room temperature tea.”

Yuuuum

We love that Disney is giving us a little space to escape the heat, but when the drink options feel like leftovers from a waiting room, it’s hard to get too excited. Just something with a little more effort behind it would go a long way here.

“I wish they had a character meet and greet like before.”

Denise came through with some nostalgia, saying, “I wish they had a character meet and greet like before. I thought Maleficent would have been cool to go with the magnet.”

Mistress of Evil

First of all, yes to themed character experiences. Second, YES to Maleficent. A villain vibe in the lounge would’ve been unexpected and kind of awesome, especially since the current Passholder magnet features her. This was a total missed opportunity for some creative synergy. Give the people Maleficent!

“Went this morning and was glad it was offered.”

On a more positive note, Paula had a good experience overall: “Went this morning and was glad it was offered. Had snacks and water and tea. They allowed everyone in so unfortunately there was no seats anywhere.”

Passholder Lounge

So here’s the thing — most people appreciate that the lounge exists. It’s air-conditioned, it’s free, and it’s exclusive. But if everyone is allowed in and there’s nowhere to sit, it kind of defeats the whole “relaxation zone” idea. Maybe some kind of timed entry or capacity control could help keep the chill vibes intact.

“Should be all year at a permanent location.”

Glenn kept it real and went straight for the long-term vision: “Should be all year at a permanent location.”

Snacks!

We get it. Temporary lounges feel a bit like a marketing trial balloon. But if Disney really wants to show Annual Passholders some appreciation, making this kind of perk permanent would be a big step. Give us a go-to spot to cool off, charge up, and relax without feeling rushed. EPCOT already has the space. Let’s make it happen.

“I went yesterday in it was a very chill relaxed vibe loved the theming.”

Charles came in with some much-needed positivity: “I went yesterday in it was a very chill relaxed vibe loved the theming.”

Magic Shot

Noted! For all the critiques floating around, it’s good to hear that some folks are having a genuinely good time in the lounge. Theming goes a long way in making these small perks feel a little more magical. A calm atmosphere with good decor? That’s what we’re looking for after navigating the crowds and heat.

“Looking forward to giving it a try later this year.”

Finally, we’ve got Steve, who shared, “Looking forward to giving it a try later this year.”

Passholder Lounge at Restaurant Marrakesh

This is the optimistic Passholder energy we need. It’s clear the lounge is a mixed bag right now, but maybe Disney will take all this feedback and make some improvements before Steve gets there. Here’s hoping.

Well, those were just some of your thoughts about the new Passholder Lounge at EPCOT, and now we want to hear even more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
