A Classic Universal Orlando Attraction PERMANENTLY CLOSES Tomorrow

All good things must come to an end… or something like that.

Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando is making way for a brand new theme park — Epic Universe. But, changes are on the way at the OG parks as well, including the permanent closure of a classic Islands of Adventure attraction. If you were hoping to experience Poseidon’s Fury one more time before it closes — you better hurry!

It’s the end of an era at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure, as Poseidon’s Fury will close its doors forever at the end of the day today, May 9th. That means today is the last day you can experience this epic attraction!

According to Universal, Poseidon’s Fury is closing to “make way for exciting new experiences for our guests,” but Universal hasn’t yet shared what these new experiences could be.

Poseidon’s Fury

Poseidon’s Fury is a walk-through show located in the Lost Continent section of the park. The show opened in May 1999 and has been operating since. Currently, The Lost Continent is home to just one attraction, in addition to some shops and the Mythos restaurant.

Outside Poseidon’s Fury

But, it might not actually be the end for Poseidon’s Fury after all — the Orlando International Airport shared a photo on Twitter and it looks like Poseidon’s trident has made its way over to the Main Terminal!

While this isn’t the real future of this attraction, we’re excited to see what Universal has planned for this area. We’ll be on the lookout for the latest updates, so stay tuned to AllEars for more!
