D23 Expo 2013 – Day 1

It's the end of day 1 of the 2013 D23 Expo, and I am very happy to report that overall it was a pretty good day. I can honestly say that I had a good time, and am far less frazzled than I have ever been after an Expo day. Not that everything is perfect, but those of you who have read my blogs on previous D23 Expos know how frustrating I've found them in the past. D23 seems to have finally learned a few things this time around and made some improvements to reduce the frustration level.

Disney Showcases Upcoming Live Action Films

Disney and Marvel Studios revealed exclusive details about their upcoming live action film slates this morning at the D23 Expo, aided by live and video appearances from talent and filmmakers and hosted by The Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn. "Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm are some of the most powerful and beloved brands in entertainment," said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. "We have so many incredible cinematic adventures ahead of us, and it is especially exciting to be able to share the exclusive details with our biggest fans first at the D23 Expo."

The Walt Disney Studios Shares Details about Upcoming Animation Titles at D23 Expo

The Walt Disney Studios unveiled new details about its upcoming animation slate this morning at the D23 Expo, showcasing new imagery, signature music and behind-the-scenes stories surrounding the roster of upcoming animated adventures. The presentation included information about the just-announced feature film "Zootopia" (working title) from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the newest film in Disneytoon Studios' Disney Fairies franchise, plus never-before-shared voice cast announcements for upcoming Disney-Pixar titles that include Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris and Diane Keaton, among a host of others.

2013 D23 Expo – Rapidly Approaching

D23 Expo App Now Available

Guests attending the D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event are now able to download the free D23 Expo app from the iTunes and Google Play stores. This multi-layered application will serve as a useful tool for those guests attending the event, which takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center August 9-11, 2013.
