We love coffee, so much so that we’ve made it our goal to try every coffee in Disney World, which is why we ran to Disney Springs today to try this brand-new coffee.
Vivoli Il Gelato is our go-to spot for gelato and sorbet, but their affogatos are some of our favorites. Where else can you get hand-scooped gelato, fresh espresso, and fun flavors wrapped in one caffeinated sweet treat?
The Toasted Coconut Affogato is $11.50 at Vivoli Il Gelato. It’s made of coconut gelato, espresso, and toasted coconut flakes. They put the gelato on the sides of the cup and create a square shape where they pour the espresso in the middle, so everything melts together fast.
The coconut gelato is super creamy and thick, with a strong, sweet coconut flavor. The espresso is rich and smooth. When the gelato melts, it gets creamy and foamy, and it was such a unique treat. The toasted coconut was piled on, making for an evenly distributed toasted flavor, and it added a nice crunch to the drink.
If you’re not feeling coconut, we love the Pistachio Affogato for $11.50, which is pistachio gelato served with a shot of espresso and chopped pistachios. It wasn’t too over-the-top pistachio, but it provided a nutty, roasted flavor that paired beautifully with the espresso!
