After almost one full year, Disneyland Resort has announced that the parks will reopen on April 30th!

Initially, the parks will reopen exclusively to California residents under similar health and safety measures that we’ve seen at Walt Disney World. And, we’re starting to get a look at what this could mean for the entertainment at Disneyland.
Upon reopening, parades and fireworks will be suspended in the parks. Instead, there will be surprise appearances from Disney characters along Main Street, U.S.A., Pixar Pier, and more!

This type of character meet and greet isn’t new for Disney. Distanced character interactions have been implemented at Disney World since the park reopened in place of parades.

Disney gave out a few hints of where you might be able to spot some favorites on your visit to the park. So, keep an eye out as your passing the train station and Royal Theater at Disneyland or walking around Pixar Pier or Cars Land in Disney California Adventure! You just might spot some of your favorites like Mickey Mouse, Mulan, and Lightning McQueen!

Disney is monitoring the health and safety conditions and shared that parades and fireworks will return at a later date. We’re following all the Disneyland news and updates so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
