NEW ‘Coco’ and ‘Encanto’ Shows Revealed for Disneyland

November has arrived and that means it is almost time for the start of the holiday celebrations at Disneyland Resort!

Disney just announced LOTS of exclusive entertainment offerings for the holidays, so let’s take a look at what is coming soon!

Disneyland Resort just announced all the exclusive entertainment offerings that will be coming to the resort for the holiday season! In addition to some returning favorites, there is also a variety of NEW entertainment coming this year.

Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park

“Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season” (NEW)
Scheduled Mondays through Fridays outside the entrance to Paradise Gardens Park

Mirabel and her friends will be celebrating the spirit of the holiday season while they bring everything together during their Fiesta de Navidad celebration. This celebration is perfect for kids of all ages and families as you sing along to iconic songs from Encanto.

“A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” (NEW)
Scheduled Monday through Friday evenings on Buena Vista Street

This is a new nighttime show that will have you listening to stories and timeless songs as you celebrate the holidays. Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland will be accompanied by dancers as they deliver bilingual performances of Christmas songs. You will also be able to see Miguel from Coco as he sings “Silent Night.”

Expanded Variety of New and Returning Live Musical Acts
Scheduled daily at various stages across Disney California Adventure Park

During the festival there will also be a variety of live bands and cultural performance groups to experience throughout the day. These performances will feature a range of genres including mariachi, jazz, klezmer, Latin pop, fusion, reggae, polka and more.

There will be new performers this year, such as Joy, Rangoli Rhythms, Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts, Keali’I O Nālani & Daniel Ho, and more. There will also be returning favorites like Blue13 Dance Company and The Mistletoes!

“Mickey’s Happy Holidays” and Holiday Toy Drummers
Scheduled daily at Disney California Adventure Park

You will be able to see a variety of Disney character march along the parade route in Disney California Adventure Park alongside the Holiday Toy Drummers. Additionally, the Holiday Toy Drummers will also be performing in front of the obelisk in Paradise Gardens Park. That means there are two chances to catch these beat-making holiday toys!

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party
Scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from November 16th through January 5th

You will also be able to take part in a street party hosted by The Three Caballeros. The street party will feature Mexican folklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, and more. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will also be joining the party in their own fiesta attire.

Encounter Santa Claus and Favorite Characters

NEW! “Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends!” at Fantasyland Theatre
Scheduled daily at Disneyland Park

At Disneyland Park, you will be able to meet Santa Claus and other Disney characters for holiday photos at Fantasyland Theatre. Additionally, there will be crafts, sing-alongs, and festive music.

Meet Santa Claus at Disneyland Resort
Daily from November 15th through December 24th at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, and daily from November 28th through December 24th at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort

You can also meet with Santa Claus at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure through December 24th. And then, from December 25th, 2024, through January 6th, 2025, you will find Santa Goofy there. Santa Claus will also be at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel from November 28th through December 24th.

Special Character Appearances
Daily at various locations across Disneyland Resort

Mickey and friends in festive attire

Not only will you be able to meet Santa Claus, but Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends will be showing off some festive looks in Disneyland Resort. There will be special characters throughout both parks making special holiday appearances.  Mirabel and friends from will even be meeting on select days at the Paradise Gardens gazebo in Disney California Adventure Park. At the hotels, you will find characters at themed dining offerings at Goofy’s Kitchen and Storytellers Cafe.

“Disney Holiday Dance Party” at Tomorrowland Terrace
Scheduled nightly at Disneyland Park from November 16th through January 6th

Tomorrowland Terrace will be hosting a dance party nightly beginning November 16th. There will be holiday music and special appearances by Disney characters dressed up in festive attire!

“A Christmas Fantasy Parade”
Scheduled daily at Disneyland Park

“A Christmas Fantasy Parade” is returning to Disneyland Park. This festive parade features lots of holiday fun including dancing gingerbread cookies and prancing reindeer. You can also spot Disney characters such as Anna and Elsa, Disney Princesses, Buzz Lightyear, and more. As well, don’t miss the grand finale with Santa Claus!

“Believe…In Holiday Magic”
Scheduled nightly at Disneyland Park

This fireworks spectacular will be happening nightly above Disneyland. You will be able to admire Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle with twinkling lights, sparkling “icicles,” and glistening snow-capped turrets. There will even be “snowfall” on Main Street, U.S.A. and along the Rivers of America during Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle.

Nighttime Entertainment and Snowfall

“World of Color – Season of Light”
Scheduled nightly at Disney California Adventure Park

This is a nighttime spectacular held at Disney California Adventure Park. During the show, you will be able to see scenes from Inside Out, Frozen, and more. Beginning November 15th, there will be an all-new water short highlighting Moana 2. It is recommended that you use the virtual queue to experience “World of Color – Season of Light.”

“it’s a small world” Holiday 2022

At Disney California Adventure, you can see a 50-foot tree being illuminated during the Buena Vista Street Tree Lighting. You can gather each night to watch all the lights come to life and watch a projection show on the façade of “it’s a small world.”

Live Music and Nightly Snow at Downtown Disney District
Available nightly throughout Downtown Disney

As well, there will be a variety of opportunities to enjoy the holidays at Downtown Disney. You can see holiday décor, do some shopping, and see live entertainment. At the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage there will be seasonal live music each night. As well, “snow” will fall near the Downtown Disney District LIVE! stage and lawn nightly from November 29th through January 6th.

Entertainment at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort
Scheduled on select days from November 21st through December 31st, 2024

Grand Californian

Finally, all three Disneyland hotels will be decorated for the holidays, and you can find holiday carolers at the hotels on select days. As well, on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning on November 22nd through December 31st, the Great Hall lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will feature live holiday jazz.
