Why Your Next Universal Orlando Trip Could Look DIFFERENT

Universal Orlando is gearing up for an exciting 2025!

Universal Orlando

The brand-new theme park, Epic Universe, is scheduled to open on May 22nd, 2025. The park will include five new lands, including Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. But this new park isn’t the only new thing Universal is adding to the resort!

Universal Orlando Resort has filed a new permit with Orlando Planning & Zoning to erect new “roadside monuments.” These “monuments” will be new signage that will be quite large at 30 to 40 feet wide.

These new signs will be made of aluminum and polycarbonate and will include LED screens that will likely display videos of its entertainment, rides, park information, advertising, or more.

The signs will replace existing old signs that will be taken away from select areas. Existing concrete footers will be left behind to anchor the new signs to the ground. The locations these new “monuments” will be added to are:

  • Hollywood Way and Turkey Lake Road
  • Universal Boulevard and Vineland Road
  • Hollywood Way and Universal Boulevard
  • Major Boulevard and South Kirkman Road

There will be a hearing on November 19th for the city’s approval. This is just the latest new project for the Universal Orlando Resort. They’re gearing up for lots of new offerings in 2025, and it’s likely we’ll see lots of Epic Universe advertising on these new signs!
