Sometimes you just have to take a step back from technology and create. Whether it’s painting, drawing, or building, creating art can be relaxing and incredibly rewarding.
With tons of kits and options out there it can be hard to pick a good one. Here are some of our favorite Disney arts and crafts that you can do at home.
Stitch Experiment Kit Craft Set
Our first is the Stitch Experiment Kit Craft Set from shopDisney.com. In this kit you get to make your own clay version of Stitch — aka experiment 626. This kit comes with five colors of clay, molds, and pieces to a make a cardboard rocket. The molds help to create the different body parts for Stitch, and once they air dry you pop the pieces together to have your on Stitch figure. The packaging also turns into a cardboard rocket for Stitch. One of the reasons this is a favorite of ours is that since the molds as reusable you can make as many Stitches as you want as long as you get more clay. You can even switch up the colors and make some of the other 625 experiments.
Right now you can get this kit on shopDisney, and it’s even on sale for $6.98. The clay that comes with the kit isn’t the best, so we recommend getting another clay. Like we said, the best part of this kit are the molds.
Frozen 2 Dry Erase Art Kit
With the Frozen 2 Dry Erase Art Kit you can color all of the characters from Frozen 2 again and again. The self contained kit has 30 pages to color. Nineteen of them are scenes and characters from Frozen 2 to color in, and the other 11 are blank with decorative borders to draw your own scenes and characters.
The set comes with eight dry erase markers. The markers all have erasers on the end of the caps. There is even a pouch attached to the book to hold all the makers. This dry erase kit is now available on shopDisney.com for $16.95.
3D Wood Model and Paint Sets
With the new Ink & Paint collection we got all kinds of art themed merchandise, but only some of it were crafts you could actually do. The 3D Wood Model and Paint Sets are great puzzle and painting kits featuring some of our favorite Disney classic characters. The three that are available on shopDisney right now are Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Sorcerer Mickey.
All of these kits are made of laser-cut wood pieces that easily fit together without glue to make models of Disney characters. All three of the characters come with paint sets with five colors and a paintbrush. These kits are on shopDisney for $24.99 each.
Learn to Draw Disney Villains
Who are we kidding, we see most of the Disney movies because we love the villains. There’s something wonderful about how the Evil Queen looks down her nose at her enemies or how Maleficent swoops into the castle when she wasn’t invited to the party. In the Learn to Draw Disney Villains you will learn how to capture all of their evil and terrifying glances in every picture.
With step by step instructions on how to go from simple shapes to glorious Disney villainy for over 35 characters. This book is available in most bookstores and on Amazon for $19.25. There have been a few versions of this book; the latest one came out in 2018 and even includes characters from Brave and Moana.
Cross Stitch Creations: Disney Classics

Yeah, it sounds hard, but with the simple instructions in this Disney Classics Cross Stitch kit you will be able to make two full cross stitches. There are instructions in the kit for twelve different projects.
The directions in the kit are for 12 characters including Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Donald Duck. You can easily get additional parts to do more than the two stitches you have supplies for. This kit can be found on Amazon for $14.70.

Disney Coloring Books
A few years ago coloring was all the rage for adults. It offered an opportunity for some therapeutic and structured creativity. There are literally tons of Disney themed coloring books out there, but these two are our favorites. The first is the Poster Art of Disney Arts, where you get 36 postcards of classic Disney attraction posters to color in. The posters include ones for the Haunted Mansion, the Jungle Cruise, and the Disneyland Railroad. This one can be found on Amazon for only $10.67.
Our other favorite is the Disney Dreams Collection Thomas Kinkade Studios Coloring Book. This coloring book features line drawings of the Disney favorite Thomas Kinkade artwork from some classic Disney films. If you’re not familiar with the Thomas Kinkade’s Disney artwork, they are beautifully painted scenes from classic Disney movies. His artwork has been turned into puzzles and calendars, and you can pick up prints of it on shopDisney. This coloring book with 63 different images to color can be found on Amazon for $8.43.
