We have had Memory Maker twice now -- the service that allows you to download all of your PhotoPass photos/videos, and the license to use them as you wish. The first time, we were disappointed because we had zero Magic added to almost 500 photos. I had to call and ask for some to be added after the trip, which they did for me. We learned our lesson though, and this time asked every photographer if they could add Magic. Most of them did and we were delighted. However, trying to get a MagicShot with Sven in Norway became a comical running joke. We tried numerous times and didn't get him even once. I again called after the trip and they were happy to add Sven to the one photo where he'd fit. We did have one set of photos that was missing when we got home. We had the companion set though (ie. had Tiana, but not Rapunzel) , so I called PhotoPass with the time and date of the photos we received and they were able to find the missing ones very quickly. The ease of using the PhotoPass service is great -- if you can find a photographer! I think they need to wear a more noticeable uniform ... And, as more people have become aware of them, finding one without a long line can be a challenge. Yes, there can be some challenges with it, but we will always use PhotoPass/Memory Maker. If you use it properly and to its fullest, the results are worth every penny.

Pros:

Easy, fun

Cons:

Finding photographer, getting Magic can be tricky

We received on My Disney Experience many pictures of people who were not in our party. Also did not receive some pictures that were taken. For example my wife and I rode Buzz Lightyear three times and no pictures of us showed up on MDE. I would not recommend purchasing this product again. Very disappointed.

Pros:

Some great pictures and vidoes.

Cons:

Receivedc many pictures of people that were not in our party

Our family used Photopass for the first time 2 years ago and loved it. I just returned from a 10 day trip May 18-27th with my sister, brother-in-law, 2 college age nephews and 2 of their friends. First, the price doubled from what we paid 2 years ago. This is ridiculous but since we wanted to be able to get group photos as well as all of us when we were not together, it is the best way to relive the trip and see what everyone did. However, we were not able to get as many pictures as we were hoping. We went to Blizzard Beach on the 25th. When the boys joined us we asked if they had their pictures done on the slides, etc. They said there were no photographers anywhere. Also, we went into Animal Kingdom on the 27th when we were leaving because we had fast passes to Pandora. I searched the entire area for a photographer and never saw one. Even at Epcot I didn't see as many as I thought I would since it was the Flower and Garden Festival. I thought they would be located at some of the great topiary's scattered through out the park. If you are going to charge for a service, there should be photographers located in every park, including the water parks, at all times. If not, a disclaimer should be inserted stating that certain times of the year, photographers may be limited and not at all parks.

Pros:

Able to get group photos of entire party

Cons:

Cost and lack of photographers

Love this feature of our annual passes. It's so nice to get pictures of DH and I without having to bug people to take them for us. Plus the locations the photographers are in are prime locations. They will take pictures with your own camera as well if you'd like. We usually just print the ones they take with their cameras.

Pros:

Able to get pictures of both of us

Best thing ever. All ride photos and group shots organized in one place. Some shots are animated in a video, which are easily posted on social media such a Facebook. You never have to take a single picture. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Pros:

You don't need to bring a camera.

Cons:

NONE.

We have purchased the Photopass since its creation. On our December trip we actually took over 100 pictures (many shots at same location). It is so worth the money. Disney also includes some "stock" pictures in your photopass. Great pics of the characters, parks, etc.

Pros:

You are able to have as many pictures taken as you woud like. The photographers use some really neat special effects.

Cons:

None

Our daughter added this to our reservation for our trip Dec 13 to 18. In the past we have used the Disney Photo Pass and were not so thrilled with our pictures to we were a bit apprehensive with the memory maker. However we were pleasantly surprised at the outcome this time. Can't believe the beautiful and professional pictures we got this vacation. The memory maker is well worth the price - especially when you can check them out on the My Disney Experience App shortly after they have been taken. Our family would highly recommend adding the memory maker to your vacation package.

Pros:

Great Photos

I have used Memory Maker twice now. Last March (2014), my husband and I used it. There were photographers everywhere, and we had over 300 photos for a 6 night, 7 day trip, The quality of the pictures was very good, and we had a lot of magic shots.

We used it again this past June with our 15 year old, twin daughters, for our 5 night, 6 day trip. We had just over 200 pictures. I found there were less photographers in the parks. We had to ask for the magic shots, and the quality of photos wasn't nearly as good.

We asked for an Olaf magic shot in Epcot before we went over the bridge into Canada. The photographer said sure and had us pose. When we looked at the pictures a few days later, Olaf wasn't in the shots...

The photographer in Germany was excellent. I wish I would have gotten his name. Same with the photographer behind Spaceship Earth by the fountain. He was excellent! These were our best pictures by far.

There really should be a few photopass photographers during the character meals. I feel they would be especially useful here.

I don't know that I would purchase MM again. I felt the $159 price tag just wasn't worth it this time.

Pros:

Magic Shots, Videos and an Abundance of Photos

Cons:

Lacking Photographers
