Contributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com sends us these photos from his trip to the parks on Friday, June 8, 2018.
A video clip overview of the new Parking Structure Construction on the former Pinocchio Parking Lot.
A series of ramps taking shape parallel to the Mickey and Friends parking structure

Looks like a second ramp is starting a little further along. Assuming it will be similar to the Mickey and Friends with the ramps feeding two levels and on top of each other.

Looking back at the site from near the elevator.

The Haagen-Dazs kiosk has closed.

The Tropical Hideaway construction continues. The old Oasis entrance structures have been removed. The Cave of Wonders piece is still there but looks like all the other structures are gone.

Pirates of the Caribbean reopened today after a several week renovaton. New Orleans Square is once again bisected by the large extended queue and crowded with the guests entering/exiting the attraction.

A look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from the Mark Twain

A new structure visible over the trees.

A new sneak peek for Ant-Man and the Wasp opened today in Tomorrowland replacing the Path of the Jedi film.

My first glimpse of Monorail Red with the Toy Story overlay. It was in the station and not moving. The Monorail was shut down most of the trip.

Made my way over to Disney California Adventure next.
Pixar Pier attractions are now on the board. Found it interesting the Critter Carousel is there since it is not opening in this phase. Also seems it should say the opening date not under refurbishment for them. Lastly a note on Toy Story. No FastPass and it did not open until 6pm today due to the work on the Pier.

Speaking of work on the Pier let us look at the Pixar Pier status with 2 weeks until open.

Almost all the scaffolding is now down from the coaster.

Scaffolding down from the midway games too.

Some of the walls around Knick’s Knacks are now removed.

The pier was closed just past the ice cream shop until 6pm today.

The Incredicoaster station status.

Supports for the queue shade structure are visible.

Incredibles archway taking shape.

The Midway Mania! sign from Paradise Park.

The gift shop facades are moving along…but not a lot of time to finish them.

The band shell facade.

Pirates was posted at 30 minutes (and the app concurred). Cast Members were saying 45 as you entered the queue. Turned out to be 35 minutes to board. The cave section audio has returned to the classic score and dialog. A cell phone video clip going through the cave. The audio is ok but the video came out extremely dark.
A new scene is added in place of the water projection that featured Davy Jones. There is a skeleton that turns back to a pirate as you pass and an octopus on the ground.

Here is a video clip entering the town passing the well then the new auction scene. Again it is cell phone and not the best but you can get an idea of the new scenes and dialog.
Some pictures of the new auction scene.

Auctioning off their items.

Cast Members in the area were passing out a card to commemorate the reopening today.

The back side had instructions to determine your pirate name.

The World of Disney center entrance and far one near Starbucks have had the characters removed as part of the renovation project.

Häagen-Dazs closed since my last visit. Salt & Straw is moving in later this year.

ESPN Zone closed last weekend. But the large TVs and signs were still in operation on Friday.

A video clip of two trains of the Incredicoaster launching back to back. You can hear the new launch audio too, no other effects appeared on.
The coaster making the loop.

To close with a programming note…the All-American College Band starts their summer performances on Thursday
