Park Hopping Rules Change TODAY in Disneyland Resort

Today is a BIG day at Disneyland Resort, and we’re beyond thrilled, because it’s a day we’ve been looking forward to forever.

For years, park hopping rules have kept Disneyland guests from hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure before 11 AM. Today, that’s FINALLY all changing, and now you can park hop between the parks whenever you’d like!

Starting today, June 9th, park hopping restrictions have now been lifted at Disneyland Resort, meaning that for those with park hopping tickets and Magic Key passes can go between the parks whenever they’d like throughout the day!

Now, you do still have to make a park reservation, but currently, reservations are simply a formality that covers your entire day, rather than which park you NEED to start at. You won’t be held to start in that park, capacity permitting, but you will still need to make a reservation before visiting.Before this, while you could visit any park you wanted after 11 AM, you did need to stick to your original itinerary before then.

This level of freedom hasn’t been available to morning guests for quite some time, so this is VERY exciting! If you’re visiting on a day that isn’t super busy and both parks aren’t at capacity, then you’re pretty much free to go wherever you’d like, whenever you’d like, as long as you’ve got that Park Hopper ticket or Magic Key.
