INTRODUCTION

Come on, come all! You’ll encounter royalty at Fantasy Faire, where the Disney princesses await you in the Royal Hall. Visit the Royal Theater where Rapunzel and Belle will thrill you with their exciting stories, told in their own words!

ATTRACTION

Tangled in Royal Theater Located at the end of Main Street next to Sleeping Beauty Castle, Fantasy Faire recalls a charming medieval village. It is open during park hours and is accessible either from Main Street or from the passageway near Rancho Del Zocalo. There are two main areas: The Royal Hall and The Royal Theater.

At the Royal Hall guests will wait in a covered queue before they enter the hall, where they will meet three different princesses, such as Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White. Royal Hall typically opens at park opening. Check the Disneyland Times Guide for exact hours.

The Royal Theater presents two different shows a day: Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. Each show is performed several times a day and stars its respective princess along with renowned Renaissance vaudevillians Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones, who play all of the supporting roles. There’s also a live pianist, Sir Samuel. This is an interactive experience, and guests are encouraged to cheer and jeer at the appropriate times. The shows are light-hearted and fun, and include some contemporary references and improvisational bits that make them more interesting for the adults.

After the show, Rapunzel or Belle remains in the theater to greet guests.

Clopins Music Box There are several things to look for around the village square. Look up to find Figaro napping on a window ledge. He wakes up periodically when the bird sings.

Clopin’s Music Box is near the entrance to Royal Hall. Turn the crank to animate the characters and play the “Topsy Turvy” song from the movie “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. Quasimodo appears and disappears in the bell tower.

A sculpture of Rapunzel’s Tower is in the center of the square. Rapunzel is visible in one of the windows. At night her hair, wrapped around the tower, twinkles with sparkling lights.

TOURING TIPS

To minimize wait time to see the princesses, arrive at park opening.

Consult the Disneyland Times Guide for the schedule of the Royal Theater performances. Generally the first three shows feature one princess, and the remaining shows feature the other one.

The Royal Theater holds about 300 guests, seated on backless benches in a semi-circle around the stage. Kids can get the best views by sitting on the floor in front of the stage. The theater is not very big, so the view and sound are just fine for those who choose to stand just outside the theater.

All areas are accessible to wheelchair/ECV users.

The closest restrooms are in the passageway between Fantasy Faire and Rancho del Zocalo.
