6 Disney Collectibles We Can’t Get Enough Of

Disney collectibles are the perfect way to bring the magic of Disney to life in your own home. Whether it be pins, Minnie ears, or Tsum Tsums, Disney collectibles are the perfect way to stay connected to the magic no matter where you are.

Alien Mickey Ears

These little things are sure to spark joy and it’s really fun to see how many you can get or what types you are able to find. I love collecting because it is like a challenge. Can I get them all? How many rare ones do I own? What is going to come out next?

For those of you who don’t collect and would like to, or for those of you who collect just about everything but are looking to add something else into the mix, we’ve pulled together six Disney collectibles we can’t get enough of.

Mugs

I don’t know why, but I simply can’t help it. When a new Disney mug comes out, I just feel the urge to purchase it, even though my cabinets are literally filled to the brim with these guys already. I love buying a new mug — or two — on each Disney vacation.

For starters, they’re cute as all get out! Disney has some really great designs and options when it comes to special events, so it’s a great way to remember those as well. I’m also a coffee drinker, so I use a mug every day — a nice way to kick off the day with a little bit of a Disney touch.

I love seeing how many different types of mugs I can find. I also think that it is really cute and fun to display them in your kitchen.

Minnie Ears

This is another item that I seem to collect for no reason at all other than I think they’re cute. Honestly, can you ever have enough of these perfect park accessories that complete any park outfit? That’s why you need every pair in literally every color like Briar Rose Gold, Purple Potion, and Imagination Pink!

And now with the new, just-launched line of designer ears, my collection is going to get much bigger… and much more expensive. A normal pair of Minnie ears typically costs $27.99. These new designer ears are going to cost more than $70! So, even though they’re super cute, they just made my addiction a bit more costly. MagicBands

I also really enjoy collecting limited edition MagicBands.  What’s so fun is knowing, especially when it comes to the limited edition ones,  that only a certain number are made.  I don’t know why, but I really get excited when I happen upon a new MagicBand and find that there are only 999 more like it out there.

Typical MagicBands are fun to collect too,  because like Minnie ears, I like to match them with my outfit. And I love having a different band to celebrate each one of my favorite characters or attractions, like the Haunted Mansion for example. But, let’s be honest… MOST of my collectibles revolve around this attraction!

And now collecting Magic Bands just became a little easier and cheaper. Disney has just added the ability for resort guests to purchase MagicBands with designs on them for $10. All you have to do is upgrade your standard solid colored complimentary MagicBands in My Disney Experience before your trip. Learn all about this new option here!

Ornaments

My family and I really enjoy collecting ornaments together. This is a great option because it is one that everyone can get in on together. Each year when we visit Disney World, we go on the hunt for the cutest ornament of that year. It is so fun to not only choose a new ornament, but to make a new memory with that ornament by placing it on the tree together later that year.

We have ornaments from each year we have visited since I was 8 years old. Each one holds so many different magical moments and memories. Now that I’m a little older and starting a family of my own, I cannot wait to carry on this tradition.

Tsum Tsums

Maybe I have a problem or maybe Disney merch is just too stinkin’ cute, but I also love to collect the heck out of Disney Tsum Tsums. These are little plush figures of different Disney characters from films, attractions, and more.

In Japanese, “tsum tsum” means “stack stack,” so the point of these little guys is to collect and stack them. These are such a great collector’s item because they’re cheap and you can purchase them outside of the theme park at places like Target. I even find them at the Dollar Store from time to time.

Pins

Disney pins are widely collected and are another great collectible. New pins are constantly coming out and there are SO many to choose from.

All sorts of Disney pins!

These are also really fun because they allow for really unique and fun Cast Member interaction opportunities in the parks. Once you start collecting pins, you have the ability to trade with other Cast Members. The price of the pin does not matter — as long as your pin is a real Disney pin a Cast Member will be willing to trade. This means that if you see a limited edition pin or a pin that will complete your collection, you can trade ANY pin that you have for that one.

Sometimes you will get lucky and see that Cast Members have limited edition pins or rare pins. But, this does not happen often as most people who are trading know what is valuable and what pins are important to hold onto.

  1. Limited edition- one of the greatest marketing terms ever to sell worthless crap. Remember beanie babies. All those limited edition ones are now in garage sales for a quarter each.

The last several Disney mugs I bought burned the holy h….. out of my fingers when I took them out of the microwave. I guess you can say I got burned twice.
