It’s not very often that I see this stand with no one beating away on the drums. It’s a great place for anyone to join in on an impromptu music session, often led by one of the performers from Tam Tams of Congo. Do your kids need a place to expend some energy? Go no further than this African musical spot in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and let ’em have at it.

  1. I was at AK at opening with a friend of mine, and we noticed kids (and adults with the little kid inside them) just itching to bang away at the drums, but they thought they were a display. So my friend Kim and I broke the ice by going over and having a wonderful time drumming; people watched to see if we got in trouble and then came rushing over! It was a great start to a Disney day.
