3 Reasons Why I Keep Coming Back to the Swan & Dolphin Hotel at Disney World

We’ve heard the arguments for always choosing a hotel owned by Disney when staying at Disney World, but we’re about to offer you an alternative.

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

We think you should consider staying at a hotel NOT owned by Disney for your next Disney World trip. Even better? The hotel we’re recommending could be a better fit for you and your group plus offer you a better experience. We love the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and we’re going to give you three reasons you might love it, too.

It’s owned by Marriott

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is owned by Marriott, which means that if you’re a member of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program, you can earn points for stays at the Swan and Dolphin.

Both the Swan and Dolphin are Marriott-owned hotels

However, what might be even better is that you can also use your Marriot Bonvoy points for nights at the Swan and Dolphin, which could cut your Disney World budget down by a LOT. You could also qualify for rates exclusive to  members, which would also save you money.

It’s all about the location

One of the biggest perks of staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is that it has a great location. This hotel is located in the EPCOT area and is close enough to walk to EPCOT and the EPCOT Skyliner station. How’s that for convenient?

EPCOT Skyliner Station

Not only that, but the hotel is also within walking distance of Disney’s Boardwalk, Disney’s Beach Club, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resorts. That means you’ll have access to all the great dining at those resorts, including Beaches & Cream, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Boardwalk Deli, and many more restaurants.

Deluxe hotel without the Disney deluxe price

So we’re sure you know how expensive Disney World deluxe hotels are. Well, you can still have a Disney World deluxe hotel experience by staying at the Swan and Dolphin for about half the price of a Disney deluxe hotel.

The best part is that you’ll qualify for the same perks that those staying at Disney-owned deluxe hotels get like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. You’ll also get free theme park parking, just like you would if you were staying at the Grand Floridian.

So why wouldn’t you consider a stay at the Swan and Dolphin? Be sure to consider it for your next trip. You could discover it’s your new favorite Disney World-area hotel.

  1. I stay always there
Disney could care less about accommodations for my disability even though they don’t honor my advance reservations and just give me a room
Never had that problem at dolphin or swan absolutely love it there

  2. The Dolphin is also walking distance to Hollywood Studios, and a Friendship Boat stop. Very convenient location.

  3. It’s been awhile since we’ve gone, but our daughter has special needs, and can’t have sugar or caffeine. What we LOVED about it on our visit is that they had a Freestyle Coke machine for their souvenir cups, so she could have drink refills and lots of choices–Disney occasionally had sugar free lemonade, but that was her only option with their souvenir cups. Also, when we went last, she could get a sugar free milkshake, and sugar free ice cream and yogurt at the Dolphin Fountain. They also had one of the cheapest theme park dinners at Picabu.
