Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been undergoing renovation to common areas and restaurants in the Old Port Royale area. Today Disney announced some news on two of the dining locations at this resort.
In a few months Shutters table-service restaurant will reopen as the all-new Sebastian’s Bistro. Fans of The Little Mermaid will remember Sebastian from the movie.
Sebastian’s Bistro will be on the Old Port Royale waterfront offering beautiful views along with island hospitality. The menu will blend Latin and Caribbean flavors together with market-fresh ingredients.
This is being positioned as a casual, family-friendly restaurant. With decor featuring island-inspired colors and materials that will make you feel like you’re in the islands, the level of detail is amazing. You’ll find coral patterns, kelp filigree, fishing lure-inspired art, and nautical designs. If you look closely at the concept art there’s even an abstract of Sebastian himself!
Centertown Market, the resort’s quick-service location, is getting a face-lift as well as a new logo. It was previously announced that it would be expanded to create an indoor street market feeling.
You’ll now enter under a large palapa-like structure accented with glowing, colored light pendants made from glass bottles. The market itself will feature open shutters, wooden light posts, awnings, ornamentation and unique seating areas. You will also have access to the Grab n’ Go market for specialty coffee and quick bites.
Keep your eyes on AllEars.net for opening dates and menu options – we’ll bring them to you as soon as they are announced!
