Alarm
goes off 3:30 AM

We arrive at Rest Stop 1 about 5:30am. That's the Washington Monument
in the left background. Crew Co-Captain Misty and Medical Crew Hope.
In the dark, we must survey the site and setup!

Each
stop has a theme, something for the walkers to enjoy. Our Rest Stop
1 theme was Patriotic, since we were right on the mall.

We
must have our Rest Stop open for the walkers by 7:30am! That means
we set up water, ice, make gatorade from powder, set out all the
snacks and fruit.
