From
Rest Stop 1 at the Washington Monument, we make a brief stop at
Panara to grab some breakfast and then off to Kensington Maryland
to set up Rest Stop 6. We must open by 11:30am

Route
Marking Crew – they mark the route with the big orange arrows so
walkers know where to go.

Our
theme was baseball, so we all wore hats that looked like baseballs.

Unloading

The
walkers begin to arrive. Chris hands out stickers and Hope hands
out blister packs.

is ready with fresh cut fruit (yes we do that too 🙂

a pink ribbon on Tricia. One ribbon is given out every 3 minutes
to signify someone being diagnossed with breast cancer.

At
7:00pm we get the go ahead to break down.
We arrive at camp as the sun goes down.


Its been a LONG day for us — getting up at 3:30am
Opening and Closing 2 Rest Stops!

The
Walkers have gone 26 miles!!!!

Tomorrow, Sunday, we are Rest Stop1 and the walkers go 13 miles!
