so fun! i love the preshow, i love the idea of a haunted mansion in disney world. the visuals on the ride are so fun. the backstory of the ride is cool to get into and the music is great too. may be too scary for small children.
Pros:
creepy, but not too creepy. it's all in a fun way. cool visuals, good preshow, good music, the length of the ride is goodCons:
long wait times unless you get on at the right time or with a LL.Reviewed by DisneyGirlMelissa Review Date: 02/18/2024

as a Disneyland girl I find I am comparing all the rides to the ones I know better back in California. This is the only one that I thought was done better in WDW (other than the odd placement of the hatbox ghost - why is he present BEFORE the spirits have been awakened??) It has a couple scenes that DL doesn't have but it is darker so harder to see details.
Pros:
fun showCons:
a bit too dark making it hard to see detailsReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 12/26/2023

We love Haunted Mansion...we actually rode this twice, one with a LL and one without. Definitely get a LL for this. Lines can be endlessly long. They pack alot of people into the "stretch room" at the beginning and it's kind of a cattle call until you get to the ride. It stopped about 4 times (I assume to account for a wheelchair or something...did this both times we rode it). Love the different scenes and overall great and fun ride.
Pros:
Very fun ride, always a go-to.Cons:
StandBy lines can be very long...get a LL. If not, ride during the fireworks.Reviewed by MadisonDuPree Review Date: 10/11/2023

It's a classic for a reason - it's delightful and it's a long experience compared to many rides.
Pros:
a lot of ride for your wait time, will leave you wondering how they did it.Cons:
some may not like it for religious reasonsReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 11/09/2022

This is one of my favorite rides in Walt Disney World. It's a perfect mix of scary, and family-friendly. I have been riding this ride since before I could remember and have never had an issue of being scared and trust me, I have always been a scaredy-cat.
Pros:
family-friendly, no height limitCons:
could be seen as scary to some audiencesReviewed by NebraskaDisneyMom Review Date: 07/04/2022

This ride is a must-do in WDW and DL. The DL rethemes every year for Nightmare Before XMas. It's a classic ride. It's a ride that we do every time we go to the parks and do it at least once (maybe 2 or 3 times also).
Pros:
Always fun and it rethemes at DLCons:
The ghosts cause trouble a lot for breakdowns.Reviewed by CatherineattheCastle Review Date: 06/27/2022

FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE ride in, probably, all of WDW. This ride has 999 happy reasons why you should ride it, starting with the lore behind the ride all the way to the hitchhiking ghosts! The wait is never too long because it continuously loads guests. But if you've never been on this ride you need to make sure you walk through the extended queue. Full of lots of fun details and puns that will bring out your sense of dark humor. This is a must ride attraction, and I would also suggest visiting Memento Mori, the gift shop, after the ride. The HM merch is "to die for."
