All About Disney Addresses Quiz – Answers

Yesterday I provided you with a set of addresses and asked you to match the locations with the inhabitants. Here are the answers. By the way, I got the idea for this quiz while watching the movie “Mary Poppins” when it was mentioned that the Banks live at 17 Cherry Tree Lane.

(B) 104 Hollywood Boulevard – (21) Sid Cahuenga’s One of a Kind Antiques and Curios

“Sid Cahuenga’s One of a Kind Antiques and Curios” is located at 104 Hollywood Boulevard, Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

So just who is Sid Cahuenga? Was he a real person?

The name “Cahuenga” comes from the Native American people who lived in the Los Angeles area before settlers arrived to the area.

The Cahuenga Pass (pronounced kəˈwɛŋɡa) is a mountain pass in the Santa Monica Mountains. The Hollywood Freeway (U.S. 101) and Cahuenga Boulevard connect the Los Angeles Basin with the San Fernando Valley via Cahuenga Pass.

The name Sid was probably chosen by the Imagineers to honor Sid Grauman, the builder of the Chinese Theater. Many actors would write, “To Sid,” before etching their name in the wet cement of the theater’s forecourt.

The building’s architecture is reminiscent of the Craftsman style bungalow which was popular in Pasadena. The Craftsman style of architecture can also be seen at the entrance of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

  1. Hi Jack,

Thank you for the fun and educational quiz! Even though I failed it miserably, it was fun learning more about Disney.

BTW, I didn’t realize that Disneyland was not always open seven days a week (Disneyland sign above).

    Thanks again,

    Amy

  2. Jack this quiz was great very hard but great. I find that I need to slow down some more and smell the Roses as I have been past most of these and did not recall. That or my memory is going. Anyway great job and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday.

    Jack’s Comment:

Sometime in January, I will be posting a similar quiz. In it, you’ll have to match up Disney animated character’s first and last names. I’m hoping it might be a little easier than my previous quiz. Of course, I will still have a few challenges just to keep everyone on their toes.

  3. GREAT QUIZ! 17 right, Kali Rapids and Basil really had me stumped. Will see if hubby can beat me. Keep up the great work.

    Jack’s Comment:

I just completed a similar quiz slated to come out sometime in January. This time you’ll have to match the first and last names of Disney characters. I hope you enjoy it.

  4. Jack, you gave me a blast from the past growing up in Denver and frequenting Celebrity Sports Center as often as I could beg my parents to go cross-town. All my friends had their birthday parties there even long after we’d already turned 18! I recall vividly my last trip there before they closed. It was a sad day in Denver when they closed their doors. As a Disney lover, I never realized the connection, but it all makes sense now. It was like going to a miniaturized Disney without the travel. Thank you for a fascinating quiz filled with cool trivia!

  5. Jack,
Fun but difficult quiz! I was wondering what year the picture of the Disneyland sign was taken. I find it interesting that Disneyland was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. When did it open daily?

    Jack’s Answer:

Without doing research, I believe Disneyland started staying open 7 days a week shortly after Michael Eisner became CEO in 1984.

  6. Not sure if this is true or not, but I heard Walt wanted the address of Disneyland to specifically be 1313 as M is the 13th letter of the alphabet…so MM or Mickey Mouse. 🙂

    Jack’s Comment:

Of course, he was limited to the numbers that were available for his plots of land, but this could very well be true.

  7. (E) 1313 S. Harbor Boulevard – (12) Disneyland

Triskaidekaphiles (lovers of the number 13) of the ‘World’ unite! You have nothing to loss but your superstitions.

  8. Thanks for the great quiz, Jack! That was a difficult one. I only got a handful, but to my credit, was at work and trying to be furtive about being on the net. 🙂 I can’t believe I missed RFD 82 – I love Living with the Land.

I look forward to your next one.

  9. That was a fun quiz! A bit of trivia…if you accidentally drive to 500 NORTH Buena Vista St. in Burbank, you find a house with a sign that says “THIS IS NOT THE DISNEY STUDIO!” Colleagues of mine found that out the hard way!

  10. I love your quizzes. They are always very interesting and of course they get me in the
Disney mood. I will have to admit did not do very well on this one. I can’t wait for the next quiz to come out. Thanks for the great work!

  11. hey jack
this quiz was certinaly a very interesting one. who knew there were so many different addresses that had to do with disney. i got 22 right so i thought i did really well. can’t wait for your next blog and as always keep up the great work.

  12. Hard but very cool quiz. Had me singing “P.Sherman 42 Wallaby Way” all afternoon! I guessed 19 correct – Thanks for the brain workout!

    Cheers!

    Lisa

  13. Hi Jack! This was a very cute and creative quiz. Unfortunately, I didn’t do that well. I only managed about half, but it was a lot of fun anyway. Thanks!

  14. This was hard Jack! I got 18 right.

    Jack’s Comment:

This was a difficult quiz. If you got 18 correct, you did very well.
