	1:45pm - August 21, 2008 Updates Michelle Scribner-MacLean Reports from Downtown Disney. Heavy crowds here and at Disney Quest. 2" of rain predicted for today, 2" predicted for tonight. Light sprinkle and gusty winds right now.

LindaMac reports that Sea World is Open but Aquatica is closed for the day. Sea World is SO quiet there are no lines for the free beer today!

11:00am - Michelle Scribner-MacLean blogs: Fay Fay Go Away!

9:00am: Orlando International Airport: Most flight operations are currently continuing normally at Orlando International Airport; however, some airlines are canceling certain flights. Please check directly with your airline for details of specific flight operations.

8:30am: Mike Scopa writes: Kennedy Space Center Closed Today. Weather is actually worse today than the last two days. Am hunkering down for the morning and will venture out later. We ate at a very empty Tusker House last night, they told us that it's usually packed for EMH and last night was an aberration.

 

August 20, 2008: Disney Cruise Line

The Disney Cruise Line® continues to monitor Tropical Storm Fay very closely. Tropical Storm Fay has stalled along the eastern coast of Florida near our homeport of Port Canaveral, and its path is uncertain at this point.

For this reason, Port Canaveral has been closed by the Port Authority and the Aug. 21, 2008 sailing of the Disney Wonder® will set sail on its 3-night itinerary from Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Other than the departure port change, we do not anticipate any additional changes in the upcoming Disney Wonder itinerary. Transportation will be provided for Guests with transfers and those arriving by private vehicle at Port Canaveral. It is important that departing Guests park at our terminal in Port Canaveral as the ship is scheduled to return there on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.

The Disney Magic® is currently on a 15-night Panama Canal voyage and is scheduled to return to Port Canaveral on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008.

The safety and security of our Guests and Crew Members are always our top priority, and we monitor the weather very closely. If necessary, our Captains are always prepared to alter the ships' courses or itineraries to navigate away from inclement weather.

August 19, 2008: 7:00pm - It appears as though Tropical Storm Fay has left the Orlando area with only rain and some winds. Theme parks will open as scheduled tomorrow.

3:00pm Update, August 19, 2008 Some flights are now being cancelled at Orlando International Airport (Southwest, Delta, United, American). Be sure to check with your airline!!

August 19, 2008 2:00pm   Vice President of Animal Kingdom Val Bunting is out and about in the park keeping an eye on things.

 

August 19, 2008 1:30pm   Michelle's in Future World and says skies are getting darker in Epcot but no downpour as of yet.
	Linda Mac reports Expedition Everest is running but park officials are providing weather announcements that the ride may shut down any time due to weather conditions. Conditions right now are light rain and small wind gusts.

AllEars® Team Member Linda Mac says:
AK parade will run at 2 p.m. today instead of 4. Safari ride is a walk-on.

 

August 19, 2008 Noon

AllEars® Team Member Linda Mac says: My bus was standing room only but parking is almost empty. Animal Kingdom is very quiet. Michelle Scribner-Maclean in Epcot says, "It's a poncho party!"
