Disney's California Food and Wine Festival will be held April
11-May 5 at Disney's California Adventure park.
Festival events include cooking
schools, winemaker dinners, cooking
demonstrations, wine, beer, and spirit seminars, and a Marketplace where
appetizers and beer and wine are available.
New this year, there
are Festival events occuring daily at the Pacific Wharf and Golden Vine
Winery areas, and on weekends the Festival expands into venues in the
Bountiful Farm area as well. The Festival Welcome Center will be
located in Sunshine Plaza where daily event schedules are
available and guests may make same day reservations for Festival events,
pending availability.
Some of the events are "ticketed" - e.g. there is a charge and reservations
are required in advance - such as the winemaker dinners and wine tasting
classes,
but most of the cooking demonstrations and seminars
take place in the park and are included with park admission.

currently scheduled seminars as described below.
Seminars
There are multiple complimentary wine, beer, or spirit seminars each day
which are
conducted by a noted winemaker, Master Brewer, or
Disneyland Resort Sommelier. Seminars will be held at the Pacific Wharf
and Golden Vine Winery areas.
Culinary Demonstrations
These 30-minute presentations feature demonstrations by chefs
from all over the Disneyland Resort, as well as visiting chefs
respresenting some of California's favorite food festivals, such as the Gilroy
Garlic Festival and the California Strawberry Festival. Chefs
will demonstrate cooking techniques while preparing dishes
associated with the session's theme, and at the end of the
presentation guests receive their own samples to taste.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come,
first-served basis. Demonstration kitchens will be located at the
Pacific Wharf and Bountiful Farm venues.
Celebrity Chef Culinary Demonstrations
A series of noted Celebrity Chefs will be on hand on weekends
during the Festival where they will present culinary
demonstrations and participate in book and photo signing
sessions. Jr. Chef Program Designed for younger guests, these 30-minute sessions on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. will be held in the Bountiful Farm area.
An array of tempting appetizer-sized food selections will be available for sale at the Marketplace located at the the Lucky Fortune Cookery. Beer and wine selections which have been specially selected to pair with the food items will also be available.
Sparkling Bar
Located on the Upper Terrace of the Golden Vine Winery, the Sparkling
Bar offers champagne and sparkling wines by the glass, as well as a selection
of wine country tapas. Open Friday-Sunday during the festival.
Vintner's Menus
During
the Festival, selected restaurants at the Disneyland Resort will
be offering a special multi-course prix fixe Vintner's Menu. Participating
restaurants include: Napa
Rose, Steakhouse 55, The Vineyard Room, Ralph Brennan's Jazz
Kitchen, and Catal. Wine pairings will also be available.
Winemaker Dinners
The Winemaker dinners feature a multi-course meal with specially
selected menu and wine pairings. They are
held on Friday evenings from 6:30-9:00
p.m. at Steakhouse 55
at the Disneyland Hotel. Tickets are $125 including tax and gratuity.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age.
Friday, April 11 - Chappellet Winery, Phillip Titus
A Special Evening with the Gallo Family Winery
Celebrity Chef Dinner
This year's Celebrity Chef Dinner features chef Guy Fieri,
star of The Food Network's "Guy's Big Bite" cooking show. The dinner
will be held Sunday, April 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Napa
Rose restaurant at the Grand Californian Hotel. Tickets are $185
including tax and gratuity.
Napa Rose Cooking School -- SOLD OUT
Interactive hands-on cooking school taught
by Napa Rose Executive Chef Andrew Sutton.
During the class attendees will
participate in creating a meal and then partake of it, including
appropriate wine pairings. Students receive a Napa Rose Cooking School
chef's coat to take home. Classes will be held on Saturdays
from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the show kitchen of the Napa Rose
restaurant at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Tickets are $400
including tax and gratuity and attendees must be at
least 21 years of age. Register early - this one sells out quickly!
Taste Wine Like an Expert
Introductory wine tasting class taught by Napa Rose's Master
Sommelier Michael Jordan. Classes will be held on Sundays at
the Napa Rose restaurant from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and will include
basic training on the different grape varietals and a blind
tasting of four different wines. Tickets are $45 including tax
and gratuity. Attendees must be at least 21 years of
age.
Taste - Food, Wine, Life
The Festival's grand finale on Saturday, May 3 will feature the talents
of numerous chefs serving up samplings of creatively prepared and
elegantly presented foods. Specially selected beer, wine, and spirits
will also be offered by a variety of vintners and brewers. The evening
will feature live entertainment and all attendees will receive a
memento of the evening. The event will be held at Stage 17 in the Hollywood
Pictures Backlot from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 including tax and
gratuity. Theme park admission is required but not included in the
event cost.
Festival Wine Receptions
Enjoy an outdoor wine reception with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, and a
special viewing location for Disney's Electrical Parade. Receptions
will be held on the Lower Patio of the Golden Vine Winery on Friday and
Saturday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. the first three weekends of
the Festival. Tickets are $55, including tax and gratuity.
Theme park admission is required but is not included in
the event price. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age. If you have
