Pixar Fest begins on April 13 and will continue through September 3. This celebration of Pixar and friendship will feature new entertainment offerings in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, including the new "Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular" and an updated version of the "Pixar Play Parade" in Disneyland. The "Paint the Night Parade," with a few new elements, moves to Disney California Adventure. Pixar-themed food and beverage items will be available in both parks. AllEars.Net's Laura Gilbreath and Jeanine Yamanaka will be attending a media preview event this Thursday evening. Look for their tweets and upcoming blog entries.

Pixar Fest, the biggest Pixar celebration ever to come to Disney Parks, brings guests together to celebrate friendship and beyond beginning April 13, 2018, at the Disneyland Resort. A new fireworks show at Disneyland, "Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular," will celebrate Pixar stories. The "Paint the Night" parade will return to Disney California Adventure.

The Lion Guard Adventure brings new characters to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal experts from Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park help ensure script accuracy with Disney Junior's new program, "The Lion Guard." And then they work on the tail end of the production - promotion of the finished product - with an activity inside the park. The Lion Guard Adventure debuted Sunday, and we were there to check it out. Even though my daughter is no longer in the target age range of 2 to 7 years for the Disney Junior network, she still is interested in "The Lion Guard" and its presence at Animal Kingdom. After all, the show is a spinoff from the very popular 1994 animated movie, "The Lion King." The franchise has had several related stories since its introduction more than two decades ago. Most recently, it has been continued with a one-hour movie, "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar," on Nov. 22, 2015, and then the Disney Junior series began on Jan. 15.
