Update: New Details on Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Dining Locations

Caribbean Beach Resort has been undergoing renovation to common areas and restaurants in the Old Port Royale area. Disney has announced some news on two of the dining locations at this resort. In a few months Shutters table-service restaurant will reopen as the all-new Sebastian's Bistro. In addition, Centertown Market, the resort's quick-service location, is getting a face-lift and being expanded to create an indoor street market feeling.

Shutters at Old Port Royale

The Caribbean Beach was Disney's first moderately priced resort. When planning this property, the Imagineers did not think budget-minded guests would be interested in a table-service restaurant, so they only included a food court in their plans. However, they were wrong. When the resort opened on October 1, 1988, guests immediately started complaining and requesting more dining options. However, it would be almost six years before the first solution came to life.

Character pirate dinner at Disney’s Vero Beach is a treasure

If your child loves pirates, this could be the landlocked place for you! Reservations are strongly recommended for the pirate dinner, but I was able to book a table for my family of four the day before, even during a holiday week. The pirate dinner is served from 5 to 9 p.m., and we chose to dine at 5 p.m. because we had plans for a Brevard County turtle walk later that night.
