HEADS UP If You’re Heading to Disney World This Week!

Things at Disney World are starting to slow down as spring break is ending, and the crowds have slowly started to ease up.

But is there ever really a low-crowd season at Disney World anymore? We have been watching wait times drop, and we finally have elbow room in the parks, but next week, it could get crowded again!

Next week, Disney World will be hosting the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, and there could be some slight adjustments that you should think about making to your trip.

The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will take place this week between April 19th and 21st. As with any event at Disney World, especially on a runDisney weekend, there could be more crowds in the parks.

If you are planning to go to the parks on these days, just pack your patience. The parks may be more crowded on these days, as runners may want to spend their day in the parks after their races.

One of the coolest perks about participating in a runDisney race is that runners get to run inside the parks and on other roads on Disney World property!

Since these courses use the roads around Disney World,  certain roads are closed off during the race for the runner’s safety. Each of the races is completed in the earlier hours of the day around EPCOT. If you are planning to go to EPCOT or dine for breakfast near an EPCOT resort, you may want to give yourself some extra time to travel on these days.

While crowd levels may not go up, and roads could be open by the time you start to travel around the resort, we just want to give you a heads-up as race weekends can draw more crowds!
