BREAKING: Disney World EXTENDS Length of Early Theme Park Entry for a Limited Time

Earlier this year, Disney replaced Extra Magic Hours with two new perks for Disney World Resort hotel guests — Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours.

Early Theme Park Entry

Early Theme Park Entry is a perk that all Disney World hotel guests can take advantage of, giving them 30 minutes of additional time each morning in all four parks before it opens. But, this is set to change for a limited-time soon!

Disney has announced that Early Theme Park Entry will be extended from 30 minutes before park opening to 60 minutes before park opening from December 19th, 2021 through January 3rd, 2022. This means that every Disney World Resort hotel guest will be able to enter any theme park one hour before it is scheduled to open every day during this time.

Extended Evening Hours will remain the same as previously announced, though keep in mind that this perk is only available to guests staying at Disney World Deluxe Resorts and Villas.

EPCOT Park Entrance

Currently, Early Theme Park Entry will return to its normal 30 minutes prior to park opening after January 3rd, 2022. Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

  1. I hope this will become permanent. Resort guests win because they get an extra 30 minutes of the park with minimal waits, and non-resort guests win because this will help clear out resort guests earlier.

  2. The thing about early entrance hours at Magic Kingdom that was not clear to us is that only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open early. And not all attractions in Tomorrowland are open early. We planned to head to Frontierland during the early entrance hours and had to scramble for a new plan once we realized only certain lands were open.
