If you were following the Disneyland Resort Ambassadors on Instagram last night, or if you read the Orange County Register this morning, you will have seen that Disneyland cast members were treated to a “first look” of the costumes that will be worn at the highly anticipated land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The big reveal came at an after-hours event that took place last night.
The OC Register shared photos that it gathered from various social media accounts about the event.
Disneyland President Josh D’Amaro (@joshdamaro) shared his Galaxy’s Edge nametag, with his name in English and Aurabesh, a Star Wars language.
He also shared a photo of some cast members and himself in costume. These costumes are typical of those that will be worn by inhabitants of the planet Batuu, which is where Galaxy’s Edge is located.

The OC Register found the following images shared by @SasakiTime on Twitter.

The Disneyland Ambassadors, Justin Rapp and Rafa Barron, streamed live video on Instagram, of which we have taken screenshots below. Among the costumes they showed were those that will be exclusive to the Rise of the Resistance attraction. You can see the military appearance of the Imperial officers’ outfits, including the Imperial logo on the hat.

The Rebel Alliance apparel is less structured, with warmer colors.

The Ambassadors also shared some photos of the Batuu inhabitants, saying that you can tell these outfits are “lived in.”

Seeing these outfits has us more excited than ever for the arrival of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, coming to Disneyland this spring (possibly June!) and to Walt Disney World in late fall!
