What are the Epcot Storytellers?

Throughout the holidays, World Showcase countries share their legends and lore of the season with Storytellers and entertainment. The presentations last anywhere from 7-14 minutes in a standing-only location.

Where and when do the acts perform?

The shows take place several times a day in their respective country from November 28 - December 2014. Look for specially identified areas in each country.

Who are the various Storytellers and Holiday Entertainment?


  • Germany - Helga will tell you about the first Christmas tree and the tale of the nutcracker

  • Italy - La Befana remembers her first Christmas 2000 years ago
  • The American Adventure: Visit Santa's Village with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, learn about Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. The Voices of Liberty appear in Dickens costumes and perform holiday songs.

  • Japan - the Daruma (doll) seller explains the Japanese New Year customs.
  • new Morocco - Video - A Female Storyteller shares festival and holiday traditions
  • France - Pere Noel recreates the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

  • Canada - Follow the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs on a musical tour as you explore seasonal customs of the Great White North.
  • United Kingdom - Father Christmas shares Christmas traditions

  • new Mexico - Video - Fiesta de Navidad - colorful dancers and mariachis.
  • Norway - Meet storyteller Sigrid who tells you about the mischievous Christmas Gnome, Julenissen.

  • new China - Video - Chinese Lion Dance
