On March 29 we’ll be able to open our hearts again to everyone’s favorite flying elephant — Dumbo. We’ve been treated to some new posters, images, and a trailer ahead of the release of the new live-action version of Dumbo.
Between the big ears and blue eyes this guy has already stolen our hearts.
The new movie from the creative mind of Tim Burton expands on the classic film where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight.
Featured characters and stars of the film include Dumbo, Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell), Max Medici (Danny DeVito), V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), and Colette Marchant (Eva Green).
In the film, Circus owner Max Medici enlists former star Holt Farrier and his children, Milly and Joe, to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. When the children discover Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, who recruits Dumbo for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant, until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
Dumbo is directed by Tim Burton — the creative mind behind Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Nightmare before Christmas.
We’ve also been treated to a recently released trailer for the film. Dumbo “flies” into theaters on March 29, 2019.
