American Idol will be filming its showcase rounds at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii next season!
In a serendipitous coincidence this announcement was made when the most recent American Idol winner, Maddie Poppe, and runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, were enjoying their award trip at Aulani Resort.
The second season of the singing contest show will premiere on March 3, 2019 at 8 p.m. Ryan Seacrest returns as host and all three judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, are also returning. The team will be joined by radio DJ, comedian and best-selling author Bobby Bones, who will be the show’s official in-house mentor. Bobby Bones recently won Season 27 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
No filming dates have been announced. We will keep you updated as announcements are made.
