| Aug. 04 - Sep. 05 | Disney Springs : Walt Disney World | Art in August Every weekend (Thursday through Sunday), tents will be set up throughout the promenade, with Disney artists and handmade treasures, including jewelry from Jortra and stationary from Boiled Books, and unique keepsakes such as the latest Precious Moments Dolls from doll designer Linda Rick. Painters like Greg McCullough and Darren Wilson will sit alongside niche craftsman selling items that include giftable plants (Petal Pushers), handmade soaps and beauty products (Rinse) and decorative house and garden flags (Swaying in the Breeze). The eclectic Pop Gallery on the West Side will have a booth featuring unique pieces, as will Name Works. On select dates, these artists will be joined by photographer Carlos Cuba, Precious Moments figurine sculptor Hiko Maeda, and game designer Quynh Kimball. | Nov. 19 - Nov. 20 | Contemporary : Disney Resorts | D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures This event, exclusively for members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, celebrates landmarks of the past, present, and future, from the Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean to the planet of Pandora. AVATAR creators James Cameron (writer, director, producer) and Jon Landau (producer) will join Imagineer Joe Rohde for Pandora - The World of AVATAR, a presentation where they will unveil new details about the immersive, 12-acre land coming soon to Disney's Animal Kingdom. In addition, the event will include a conversation with Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Plus, Moana screenwriter Jared Bush (co-writer/co-director Zootopia) will be on hand to provide guests an exclusive advance look at the making of Walt Disney Animation Studios' newest animated feature. Cameron, Landau, and Chapek join previously announced Disney Legends Marty Sklar and Tony Baxter; Walt Disney Imagineers Rohde, Chris Merritt, Jason Grandt, and Wyatt Winter; producer Don Hahn (The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast); and Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline. |

| Aug. 17 | Disney Springs : Walt Disney World | American Idol Bus Tour ABC's "American Idol" launches the start of its highly anticipated open auditions at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. The iconic "American Idol" bus will roll into Disney Springs for auditions taking place on THURSDAY, AUGUST 17. |

| Nov. 16 | Coronado Springs Resort : Disney Resorts | Pin-Trading Night Pin Trading Night will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Convention Center's Veracruz A. Admission to the event is $15 per person and includes: Pin Trading Area; One edible treat; preview of upcoming pin releases; first opportunity to pre-purchase select themed pins from the Aladdin 25th Anniversary Collection via the Random Selection Process. | Nov. 16 - Nov. 18 | Contemporary : Disney Resorts | D23 Destination D: Happy Birthday Mickey November 18, 2018, will mark 90 years since Mickey Mouse made his debut in Steamboat Willie at the Colony Theatre in New York City, and D23 is throwing a party at Disney's Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate. The event will include panels, presentations, an all-new exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives, a pop-up store from Walt Disney Imagineering's Mickey's of Glendale, and more. Additional details, including special hotel rates and ticketing information, will be announced in the coming months. |
