March 2 - 27EpcotEggstravaganza 2016 Eggstravaganza is back at Epcot March 2-27, so hop on over and take part in this Disney themed egg hunt. Please Note: Maps will be available for purchase while supplies last at Epcot. One redemption egg per map.
March 11 - 17Town Center : Disney SpringsMighty St. Patrick's Festival at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. Award-winning Irish bands and quick-stepping Irish dancers will showcase their roots during a celebration that also will feature cuisine by Irish celebrity chef Kevin Dundon. St. Patrick's festivities will include complimentary face-painting and giveaways. Mighty Festival hours are 4 p.m.-1:30 a.m. March 11, 14, 15 and 16; noon until 1:30 a.m. March 12 and 13; and 11 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. March 17. The pub opens weekdays at 11 a.m. for lunch and weekends at 10 a.m. for brunch. The entertainment schedule will be posted at raglanroad.com.
Mar. 25The Marketplace : Disney SpringsRidley Pearson Book Signing Ridley Pearson will be at the Art of Disney from 4 to 6 p.m., to celebrate the release of his newest book, Kingdom Keepers: The Return, Book 2: Legacy of Secrets. Wristbands will be distributed to guests at store opening on the day of the signing, with each purchase of a book by Ridley Pearson. A wristband from the appearance location is required to meet Ridley Pearson and allows the guest to get two books signed. A limited number of wristbands will be available the day of the signing. Once the wristbands have been distributed, the line will close.
Mar. 25 - 28The Landing : Disney SpringsThe Young Irelanders Irish music sensation will bring their multi-award-winning brand of traditional Irish music, song and dance to Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. Guests can enjoy performances on the patio stage from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. March 25 and 26, and on the Grand Room stage March 27 and 28 from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. There is no cover charge to see the performers who are on tour in the United States before taking their show to Ireland and China.
Mar. 26EpcotRidley Pearson Book Signing Ridley Pearson will be available to sign copies of his books at Mouse Gear in Epcot from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. to celebrate the release of Kingdom Keepers: The Return, Book 2: Legacy of Secrets. Wristbands will be distributed to guests at store opening on the day of the signing, with each purchase of a book by Ridley Pearson. April 14 - 17Resort Wide : Walt Disney WorldStar Wars Half Marathon -- The Dark Side This race follows the debut of the popular Star Wars-themed race at Disneyland Resort, "Star Wars Half Marathon the Light Side." The new race weekend will include kids' races, a 5K and a 10K in addition to the half marathon, plus a variety of Star Wars experiences, medals, events and merchandise inspired by a galaxy far, far away. Among its many features will be a unique 13.1-mile course that propels runners through Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios and finishes at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. There will also be a Star Wars Dark Side Challenge -- running the 10K and the half marathon on consecutive days that offers each finisher a Death Star-themed medal. Jedi and Sith Lords who dare to experience both Star Wars races will have the chance to take on the Kessel Run Challenge -- completing the Star Wars half marathon missions on both coasts. Kessel Run Challenge runners can earn a commemorative "Coast to Coast'' medal inspired by the Millennium Falcon starship.
Apr. 14 - May. 19Magic KingdomDisney After Hours a special ticketed event in the Magic Kingdom. The $149 (plus tax) ticket will allow guests to stay in the Magic Kingdom for three hours after the park closes. Guests will have the chance to enjoy most of the park's popular attractions and character greetings, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Princess Fairytale Hall. In addition, the cost of admission includes ice cream novelties and select beverages. Watch animal feedings and training experiences specially planned for Earth Day to learn how keepers care for some of your favorite animals. Also, upon entrance to Animal Kingdom, stop by the Oasis to see "The Jungle Book" sand sculpture and celebrate the new live-action adventure opening in theaters April 15. Apr. 22Discovery Island : Disney's Animal KingdomJoe Rohde Appearance and Signing As part of Animal Kingdom's Earth Day festivities, Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde will be at Discovery Trading Company (previously Disney Outfitters) from 1-2 p.m. Rohde will be signing his artwork, created for a new Disney Conservation Fund initiative. He will also sign the new coffee table book, The Disney Conservation Fund: Carrying Forward A Conservation Legacy, to which he contributed. May - 2016Seas with Nemo & Friends : EpcotFinding Dory Characters Added to Turtle Talk with Crush Characters from Finding Dory are added to Turtle Talk with Crush in the Seas with Nemo and Friends. Some of her new pals you can expect to spot within the attraction include Destiny the whale shark, Bailey the beluga whale and Hank the "septopus" (that's a seven-legged octopus). Crush's son and best pal Squirt will also be swimming by for the first time.
May 8 - 12ESPN Wide World of SportsInvictus Games Britain's Prince Harry is bringing the Invictus Games, an event that features wounded servicemen and women from around the world competing in a variety of sports events, to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The inaugural Invictus Games, held in London in 2014, drew more than 400 athletes from 13 countries -- plus some 65,000 spectators. The Invictus Games at Disney next year is expected to involve a similar number of athletes from up to 14 nations competing in 10 sports -- archery, cycling, indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.
