Ordered a cheeseburger from the kids menu for my 9 year old. Three quarters of the way through, she said it tasted too bad to eat any more and asked if it was supposed to look pink like that. To my shock, it was a completely raw (cold, gooey, sticky, wet raw). SO disgusting. There were barely any customers there at the time, so it can't be blamed on a rush. I brought it up to the counter and they were completely unphased, like this happens all the time and they cooked a new one which we tasted, but nobody ate because it was just not good. All the food was overpriced and not good at all. I was told at Animal Kingdom Guest Relations that this restaurant is owned by Rainforest Cafe, and they helped me file a complaint. I took photos. I recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs. I am really worried that my child is going to have food poisoning.
Pros:
Nothing. All the dishes were overpriced and barely edible. The chicken salad was ok.Cons:
Serving raw hamburger to children. Overpriced, barely edible and inedible foods.Reviewed by DisneyDana Review Date: 04/26/2020

Expect nothing more here than what you might find in your local shopping mall and you'll be fine. It's good for a quick bite but don't expect much. I got the honey chicken and it was just a few pieces of meat thrown on top of fried rice in a traditional Chinese take out box. It only came about half full so nothing like your take out joint back home. Don't go hungry or you will stay that way. Keep in mind that this is the exact same food that you will get in the pricey table service restaurant so if you're good with mall quality Chinese then you're in luck! Just triple the price.
Pros:
quick, quiet outdoor seating.Cons:
very little food for the money. More of a snack. Tastes like mall food.Reviewed by Andie1430 Review Date: 04/13/2020

Our party of 3 adults shared the honey chicken and the teriyaki beef bowl and an order of fried rice. Was one of my least favorite meals.

I ordered the ginger chicken salad. What I got was a 3 compartment plastic clamshell - lettuce mix, chopped chicken & crunchy noodles. A container of dressing was included. I combined the three ingredients with the dressing. The result was something not worthy of a convenience store premade salad. Really pathetic. I also got the mini-mango pie another item you can pick up in a convenience store. With my iced tea, the total was $22.64! Ridiculous. Never again!

I don't like this place. It's convenient, sure, but I think the food is like a badly done chinese type of stuff that is usually found in a mall food court. In other words, not worth bothering with. Example, the chicken fried rice was large container of sticky gloppy, mostly bland rice with some things thrown in. If you like mall food court style chinese fare, you might like this place. AK has too many great choices to stop here.
Pros:
it's convenientCons:

This was a definite go to for us every year but this year (December 2016) menu felt old and tired and designed to minimal so easy quick turnaround. Waitress was awesome. We always enjoyed it here but next time will pick buffets where more variety.

We ordered honey chicken and it was dry and flavorless. We also had the cold chicken sandwich and same results. We did enjoy the seating area - nice viewing of the monkeys and people watching!
Pros:
lovely seating areaCons:

Great place to stop and have a quick snack. I haven't eaten a meal here but have stopped by to sit down for a few minutes and have a couple of eggrolls or fried rice and a cold beverage. Its great when the side window is open so you don't have to wait in the regular line for a cold beer (and you can get eggrolls there too). The theming of the seating area is cool also, with the fountain in the center and overall asian vibe.
Pros:
Quick snacks that isn't typical theme park fare, great vibes and the lines aren't usually too long.Cons:
Limited shade in the seating area. Most seats are in the sun and like the rest of AK, there isn't much of a breezeReviewed by AmyKCL Review Date: 08/06/2022

We're a family of four with two adventurous eaters (adults) and two picky eaters (kids). We ate breakfast at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafe in July 2022. We stopped here to grab a quick bite on our 2nd day in Animal Kingdom. My husband and I each ordered egg and sausage breakfast sandwiches, and our kids ate the hash browns that came as the sides. It was good, tasty; it met our need in the moment. The seating area was fine and plentiful first thing in the morning. Like all space in Animal Kingdom, is was evident that great care was taken with the theming, and my husband enjoyed all the hiking/camping memorabilia that decorated the space.
