This resort is perfect for any guest! Kids, teens, adults, everyone will love this resort. It has Disney touches of forest animal theming, without it being tacky or overwhelming. The hotel lobby is so beautiful and grand, complete with a creek running from the inside of the lobby all the way out into the pool. The main pool is huge and very clean- plus a water slide and 2 hot tubs. Also a kiddie pool and play area. They do poolside games with cast members for kids as well. The gift shop is large and has a lot of unique \"wilderness\" themed merchandise. This resort has great food options- whispering canyon is a hilarious, delicious good time! One of the most unique Disney restaurants as far as experience, and the family-style food is to die for. Their quick service location is great as well- Roaring Fork- lots of yummy treats and snacks. I also love that this hotel is not overly large or spread out- all the rooms are relatively close to the lobby, transportation, food, and all other amenities. Speaking of amenities, the boat to magic kingdom is THE BEST (also goes to contemporary if you feel like some steakhouse 71 or chef mickeys). It is still a deluxe resort, so price can be a little much, but not as bad as the monorail resorts.

Pros:

location close to magic kingdom, boat transportation, electrical water pageant view, food options, theming, pool

Cons:

none!!

This is probably my favorite resort and I have stayed many times at the Wilderness lodge. They have lots of dining options, nice setting, close to the parks, nice pool with slide, a boat which you can take to the magic kingdom and back, arcade, and a geyser that goes off every hour.

Pros:

Great food options, pretty big pool and area for smaller kids, arcade, pretty setting, more then one set of transportation

Cons:

My favorite resort by far! The lobby is gorgeous and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in the wilderness. Roaring Fork is a great quick service option and the gift shop is one of the better resort shops I’ve been too.

Pros:

Boat transportation to Magic Kingdom which is such a nice relaxing ride. Nice view of the lake where you can see the Electrical Water parade.

Cons:

Not necessarily a con but sometimes an inconvenience is when you take a bus to AK, HS, or Epcot you have to stop at Fort Wilderness to pick up other guests so the ride can get long at times

Although it's been many years. The wilderness lodge is my 2nd favourite hotel of all the Disney hotels. When you walk in and see that amazing lobby you feel like you're at the most beautiful luxurious hotel in the mountains whether it be in Denver Massachusetts Wyoming somewhere where cabins and mountains just come together and you just feel home. You sit in front of the roaring fireplace you rock and rocking chairs you have a hot CO coa even though it's Florida you just feel like you should have a hot CO CO especially at the holidays. You get a bite to eat at whispering Canyon and God forbid you ask for ketchup You will be in for one hysterical time. the staff Make sure stay even more memorable and magical. The rooms are comfortable clean the theme is beautiful the shop with the totem Poles of the characters. Disney magical touches throughout would highly recommend it the boat rides to the magic Kingdom or over to the contemporary such a beautiful way to travel.

Pros:

Is warm and inviting a very homey atmosphere

Cons:

That you can't walk to the parks.

This resort is a hidden gem! My family loves the quiet nature of this resort. The Wilderness Lodge is so serene but still has the excellent amenities to keep a family with small children going. The food options are excellent and the rooms are spacious with awesome theming. The cast members are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond!I was surprised (but secretly excited) that not more guests use the boat transportation to the Contemporary and then taking the Monorail to Epcot(when it was running pre shutdown). We were usually by ourselves on the boat and it was always fast and efficient. That boat also begins running earlier in the morning. With that said, we went in June and the busses were never overcrowded. We loved that we had options transportation- wise.

Pros:

Taking the boat over to the Contemporary and then taking the Monorail. The food. Super peaceful resort. Theming. The Cast Members!

Cons:

My 10 year old son wishes the waterslide was bigger but that's it!

Best resort on property! The theming is perfect for everyone. Not too over the top and but not missing that Disney charm. Havent stayed there but have visited plenty for a few hrs each trip on Magic Kingdom days because it is that good of an atmosphere. Cast members at this resort are amazing. Love that they have the Snow White character dining here very fitting. My dream resort to stay at with my family.

Pros:

Cast Members, Pools, Character Dining, Boat transportation to MK and Fort Wilderness Campground. Prior to it closing proximity to River Country.

Cons:

EXPENSIVE!
