The best part of photopass is everyone gets into the picture. No more asking other people to take your family picture. On our 8 day trip we had over 200 photos. Yes some weren’t the best, but the magic shots were always a surprise when checking the my Disney experience app.

Pros:

Ride photos are included

Cons:

Nothing

Had Memory Maker last trip in 2016. So many great shots. Nice for large groups. Nobody is left out.

Pros:

Hundreds of shots from 2016. Convenient and worth the $$$.

I love this program and use it for every Disney trip. It is a nice and convenient way for me to get all of my daughters character meet and greet photos while still being involved in the moment. I don't have to worry about capturing the photo because the photographer is doing it for me. At the end, they scan my MagicBand and I have all the photos. It is a little pricey, but worth it when you consider that there are photographers with every character and around each park.

Pros:

Capturing the memories

Cons:

Price

We’ve done PhotoPass twice and I don’t think I would do Disney again without it! I love that the whole family is in the picture, including me! There are photographers all over the parks. You get a wide variety of shots. Also, you get fantastic “magic” shots with special effects and you will receive fun videos on your MDE account.

Pros:

Magic shots Fun videos Everyone in the photos

Cons:

Can be expensive, especially if you purchase a photo book through Disney

I would recommend the photopass photographers if you want photos of the whole group. I usually take the photos so many years, I'm in very few photos. We've probably purchased the Memory Maker 4-5 times and have an annual pass now. Only once or twice have I gotten photos from another group and never have they missed automatically adding one to my account based on my magic band. The only time we've ever had trouble with ride photos is when the the number of people standing in front of the monitors prevented us from tapping our magic bands to "claim" our photos before the rolled off. This was easily fixed by talking to the ride photo cast member and they added it manually. I saw photographers everywhere at Epcot during the Flower and Garden, Animal Kingdom at night in Pandora and by Tree of Life. I've seen more photographers at those two parks than Magic Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios but I've seen them tucked away at those parks as well. It may be expensive but having the photos that include everyone and the ability to edit them adding character signatures and borders make it worth the price to our family.

Pros:

Lots of opportunities, photos of the whole group, magical photos and the ability to edit/customize them with borders and character signatures and stickers.

Cons:

Price can be high so make sure you stop at as many photographers as possible.

I feel this service is 100% worth the $. I am notoriously horrible at taking pictures and remembering to take pictures. And I don’t do selfies. So PhotoPass was our way to guarantee that we had several family pictures from our vacation. Christmas Card, done. All our memories are there and I didn’t have to stress. The quality of everything was great. I can’t imagine a scenario where I would go to WDW and not get this.

Pros:

Guaranteed memories of your vacation, good quality, fun magic shots

Cons:

Costs $, so may not be worth it to everyone

Our family enjoys photo pass, the photographers are so nice, and they always try and get the best pose for the whole family. We enjoy the surprise photos, along with all the additional characters, and add on's when you are editing your photos. We have been to Disney World several times and honestly do not think we would go without Photo Pass. If you are debating on getting photo pass I would say if this is your first trip then yest get it the memories in photos are the best.

Pros:

The whole family is in the pictures, the surprise shots are the best

Cons:

We do not see any cons in photo pass

This is probably the only thing that when Disney raised the price $30, I didn't bat an eyelash because that's how valuable I find this service.

The joy of having everyone in the picture is huge.

And the photogs, the good ones, will catch moments that you missed and that just blow you away later.

Pros:

Everyone in the picture,

None

Our family loves the photo pass! So many moments and memories captured that we would have missed and finally we get EVERYONE into the photos! I love the extra characters and borders that you can put on the photos. It is worth the price for sure.

Pros:

Getting those magical shots; getting your whole family or group into the photos; the borders, characters etc. that you can add to the photos. The memories preserved that might be missed with your cameras.

Cons:
