Started off being taken back for reservation 45 mins late after being told we were on the no show list- stood right on the steps and name was never called. Food is extremely subpar and desserts were horrible. Best thing was interactions with the characters and waiter.

Food on the buffet had been sitting for quite a while, many of the pans had that 'skin' that gets formed when food sits out. Character interaction was fair, we did feel a bit rushed to get our pictures taken so they could move on.

We are done with buffets! Only came here to see characters in a Christmas setting but this was disappointing. Bare minimum decorations, bland food, crowded and had to wait after meal to make sure we saw all characters as our little area was almost forgotten about. I thought we would have some Christmas food and festive atmosphere but none to be found. We did get the fantasmic package but we should have eaten at Mama Mia's.

We were there on 12/28, this is a cold, loud restaurant. The food was plentiful, with many options, it just wasn't "the best". In fairness we were a group of 4 adults (youngest being 19) so even though the characters were great, we had been hoping to enjoy the food more as well.
Warning, this restaurant shares washrooms with Prime Time Cafe, and they are small washrooms. A trip there can be a long line up, which really does detract from the overall experience.
Pros:
seated promptly when we arrivedCons:

Had their steak worse every. Gravy tasted like canned gravy. Instant potatoes? No flavor. Weird purple somehing scooped onto steak tasted funny. With the rest of the bad experiences we had at Disney, will never visit again. ,

I took my grandsons age 4 and 5 at Thanksgiving. The restaurant was unbelievably cold and we were seated near an air vent. I complained to the server and was told that 'other people are cold too' - if we wanted to move we could again wait to be seated. Supposedly maintenance had been informed but no change in temperature occurred while we were there. Since the entire restaurant was freezing and my grandsons wanted to see the characters we stayed. Characters were the usual, food was ordinary - H&V is not known as superior dining. My fingers turned blue by the end of the meal. We will never return to this restaurant.

The food is ok. The corn was really good randomly. Fun to see all the characters and easy to see the characters even when not at your table.
Pros:
Lots of time to see the characters and wide selectionCons:
Food is typical buffet foodReviewed by CharityL Review Date: 09/18/2023

We did the Fantasmic Dinner package for dinner here in early Sept. We had eaten here on trips prior both at breakfast (fantastic) and lunch (food was not so hot literally). But the buffet and service this time around was top notch! Food choices were plentiful and hot, and our service was fantastic! Each of our visiting pals seemed unrushed from each table and everyone looked to be having a blast!
Pros:
Great character interactions here!Cons:
Can be a bit loud with all the kids...Reviewed by Dinane Review Date: 04/26/2022

Character dining is back!!! We got very lucky and had our reservations here on the day they started allowing character hugs. My 7 year old was DELIGHTED to meet and hug Minnie Mouse. She is very shy and was afraid to get to close to the others - especially Goofy - he’s so tall! But we did get to have personal interactions with all 4 and it was truly magical.
The food was good too! I had the Mac and cheese with shrimp, which had a salad on top as well. It was a really pleasant combination. My daughter had Mac and cheese and ate it all. She doesn’t eat much so that’s saying something. She later ranked it 3rd best on our trip after becoming a bit of a Mac and cheese connoisseur.
The rolls were great. They gave us more than we needed.
Pros:
Character dining!, good home style food, friendly staffCons:
We were sat quite a bit later than our reservation despite checking in early - likely because it was their first day back to full character diningReviewed by ktkueb80 Review Date: 02/28/2022

Had dinner here with DH and DS aged 8 on 2/21. We were taken right on time for our reservation. Rolls and salads were pretty standard. They allowed my son to order something that wasn't on the menu (chicken tenders and fries) as he is pretty picky and he enjoyed every bite. I had the mac and cheese with shrimp and it was delicious. My husband had the beef tenderloin and declared it the best thing he ate all week. It was our second day here, but still. The waitress brought him a second plate since that is the beauty of this place and he finished all of hat too. For dessert DS had the ice cream sundae with DH and I had the smores pie. No complaints all around. Character interaction from a distance was great, Pluto especially had some great dance moves and when I told Minnie I loved her dress she blew me a kiss.
