We dined at HW&V on Christmas Day 2020 and it was absolutely fantastic. There were several Prix fix meals to choose from and all 4 of us tried something different. The service was right on point. We had dine at HW&V in Oct 19 when it was still a buffet - it was okay, but not great. KUDOs to HW&V for making our family Christmas a little more special🎄

Pros:

On time, great food, great service - characters extra special

Cons:

Everyone who is complaining about this place is doing it wrong lol! Pro-Tip: Grab a dinner reservation between 730-8pm (these are the latest you are allowed to get) at the end of the night if any food runs out they have to make it fresh AND the characters spend so much time with you that you almost need to ask them to go away so you can eat LOL! My family has booked it twice in the late window and had this great experience both times in the last 2 years!

Pros:

Great character experience and lots of time with characters

Cons:

not as big of a selection on the buffet

On 3/21 Mom and I attended the first Minnie's Springtime Dinner. Our server, Joan, kept our drinks full and our plates cleared. She even provided a few laughs.

For the spring dinner Daisy was up front greeting everyone. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy roamed around and greeted everyone at their tables in their spring time best. Of the four that wondered around Goofy was the most memorable when he started to fly his kite when the song "let's go fly a kite" played on the soundtrack.

The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the pretzel rolls and the basil lime fruit the best. My favorite dessert was the passion fruit cakes. While the food was good I will tell you the characters make the meal.

Overall, this was a great experience. I have been to all three seasonal dinner dining experience so far at Hollywood & Vine (Minnie's Holiday Dine, Minnie's Silver Screen Dine, Minnie's Springtime Dine) and have reservations to return for Minnie's Summertime Dine as well as Minnie's Halloween Dine.

As an annual passholder, it is fun to attend these seasonal dinners to not only see the characters in their new outfits made just for this dinning experience but also to see the different food offerings for each seasonal dining experience.

Pros:

Characters, Server

Cons:

Busy

I attended Minnie's Holiday Dine on 12/11. I had never been to Hollywood and Vine before because the Disney Junior characters aren't of interest to me.

We received great service from Joan our server! She kept our table cleared and drinks filled and even acted as a photographer a couple of times.

The food was really good and there was a great selection. I especially enjoyed the vegetable soup and asiago chicken breasts. And I may have made a trip to the kids buffet for tater tots! The desserts (my favorite part) were amazing! I enjoyed that they were all minature, so I didn't feel bad sampling almost everything.

The characters in their holiday outfits were so cute! It would have been nice to have had more decorations around the restaurant- but I guess they serve two other meals a day, so that is probably hard.

Overall- we LOVED it and would go back for a different season.

Pros:

characters, good selection of food, great service

Cons:

wait to be seated, lack of decorations

We attended Minnie's Holiday Dine the week of Dec 6, 2015. We loved the experience!

The dinner didn't start off great. The check-in was confusing because there were multiple servers directing you to line up in different places. It was a little frustrating.

However, once we got past that, the rest of the experience was terrific. The characters were adorable in their special holiday outfits. We had ample time to take pictures with them.

The food on the buffet was delicious. Boy did we overeat! The salads and appetizers were great! I particularly enjoyed the salad with pears and pomegranates. We also loved the flank steak, meatballs and carved meats. Everything was very tasty and hot and there were plenty of different choices for each of my family members.

The dessert section was wonderful. They had so many choices and I tasted many of them. Yum! And the special dessert decorations were very cute and festive for the season.

I would have expected the restaurant to be decorated a little more for the holiday dinner. It was a little lacking. Given how cute the characters were dressed, I think they could've done a little better job making the atmosphere a little more festive.

Our waitress was terrific and very attentive with drink refills, coffee, etc.

I would definitely recommend this event to those visiting HS during the holidays.

Pros:

Characters and Food Quality

Cons:

Entry to Restaurant

We did the Fantasmic Dinner package for dinner here in early Sept. We had eaten here on trips prior both at breakfast (fantastic) and lunch (food was not so hot literally). But the buffet and service this time around was top notch! Food choices were plentiful and hot, and our service was fantastic! Each of our visiting pals seemed unrushed from each table and everyone looked to be having a blast!

Pros:

Great character interactions here!

Cons:

Can be a bit loud with all the kids...

My husband and I ate there mid-November 2020 for lunch. The meal started with (warm) rolls and butter, and salad with ranch dressing. For our entrees, we both chose the Prime Rib, which came with mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. We were both a bit wary about the brussel sprouts, but our waiter highly recommended them, and he was right! Everything was delicious. For dessert we had the Sugar Free Lemon Sorbet, which was also very good. Our waiter was very friendly, and top-notch. The characters were dressed up for Christmas, and went around individually and posed for pictures at least twice. We could take pictures OF them, just not WITH them, which was fine, because we knew this ahead of time, and with Covid-19, we were happy to have a character meal of any kind.

Pros:

Food and service excellent!

Cons:

Not too many choices on the menu.

We went to this restaurant before Covid, and it was so much fun. Even though it was only two adults in our party, the characters spent plenty of time with us too. The food was average for a buffet, but the price wasn't awful for what you got. We did leave full and happy. Also, the cast member came to check in with us at least 6 times during our meal. She was extremely friendly and even helped clear the way of characters and customers when I needed to get my rollator through to the bathroom and it was a little too crowded. I didn't even have to ask her, she just jumped right in to help.

Pros:

Decent food for the price. Characters were amazing. Good service.

Cons:

Restaurant can be crowded making it hard for those with mobility issues.

My family of 4 had dinner here last week. The food was very good and a nice selection as well. The characters: Minnie, Mickey, Daisey and Donald Duck came round to take pictures and their Christmas outfits were really nice. But there seemed to be no pattern to how they toured the dining areas. It was a long time to wait for them all to come around. It was our last thing planned for the day so we didn't mind waiting as it gave us a chance to relax. At the front of the restaurant Santa Goofy posed with a photopass photographer to take pictures as well. We opted to get ours pics with Goofy till the end. There was a good selection and everyone was able to find enough to eat to fill them up, a tall order with 2 teen boys and hungry DH. I loved the meatballs, green beans, salmon and the desserts are the mini ones all very good!

Pros:

Great way to celebrate holidays, the characters were wonderful and really interacted with us, good food and great desserts!

Cons:

Expensive, chaotic and spent alot of time waiting for characters to make it us.
